With a Different Approach to the Questions of

Religion, Philosophy, Faith, Hope and the Future

All in the Context of a Coming World Government under Man’s Control

Time, Times and Half Time

By an unworthy servant

There is an expression which appears several times in English translations of the Scriptures; and one which is associated with defining the time of and/or the dating of certain critical age-end events in the Word.  While the different Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek meanings may not be precisely the same, the expression of time, times and half/dividing of a time does seem to be related in some manner.  Here are the primary texts:

Dan 7:24

And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

7:25

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times (Aramaic Zeman) and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time (Aramaic Iddan) and times and the dividing of time.

7:26

But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

Dan 12:5

Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

12:6

And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

12:7

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time (Hebrew moed), times (Hebrew moed), and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

12:8

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

12:9

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time (Hebrew eth) of the end.

12:10

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Rev 12:6

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Rev 12:13

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

12:14

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time (Greek kairos), and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Meaning

Commentators agree that the expression is from the Aramaic as used in Daniel 7:25.  In the way of a backdrop in Daniel, the Aramaic iddan is also used at Dan 4:16 and 4:23 as seven times (which is typically interpreted as meaning seven times a prophetic year or prophetic time of 360 days or years).  Seven times would total to 2520 days or years.  In that sense, the case can be made that the expression in Dan 7:25 means 1260 days or years.

The Daniel Commentary of Soncino Books of the Bible notes the difficulty that commentators have had with this expression in Dan 7:25.  As reported by this source, iddan can mean either a  (a period of) time or a year (one time means one year or period; times mean two years or periods; and half of a time means half of a year or period).  Soncino adds that the English seasons in Dan 7:25 (from the Aramaic Zeman) refers to the festivals of Leviticus 23.

Thus, it would appear that Dan 7:25 is saying that this evil Beast power under discussion will change festivals and the law (Torah—Gen thru Deut) for a period of a time, times and half of a time (exactly or perhaps approximately for 1260 years or days).  In the ante-type for the 1260 years of rule by the Roman Catholic Church, this is what happened when Rome imposed a change on the civilized world of the Scriptural festivals and the Torah (from the 4th century to the Protestant Reformation and the Peace of Wastpalia of 1648 where Europe was granted religious freedom).  In this sense, with the ante-type, the period of time was about 1260 years.

But that’s not necessarily what the implication is in the age-end.  Of course, the concept of 1260 days or years is what the writer of Revelation may be saying in Rev 12:6.  On the surface, the context certainly defines the time, times and half of a time in Rev 12:14 (as being 1260 days, which under the Scriptural day for year principle in prophecy can also mean years as well as days).

Finally, the subject matter of Dan 7:25 seems to be about the same as that of Rev 12:6, 14—the length of time that the very elect (called the daughter of Zion in the Tanakh and Philadelphia in the New Testament) are at a place of safety from the persecution or tribulation on fellow believers who keep the Commandments and have the faith in YESHUA.  The conclusion here has to be that the reference in the age-end fulfillment surely must be to 1260 days as given in Rev 12:14 in the age-end configuration.

But Daniel 12:7 is Different

But the expression in Dan 12:7 is different in that it uses the Hebrew moed which means an appointment or fixed time or season (as Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary has it).  Often, moed is so translated as time appointed as at Dan 8:19; 11:27, 29, 35.  It is also used for the Scriptural festivals of Leviticus 23 (in the sense of them being at the time appointed or fixed time).

Obviously, the expression in Dan 7:25 (in Aramaic) is not the same as the one in Dam 12:7 (in Hebrew).  But since the context of Dan 7:25 does refer to a beast power changing the festivals of Lev 23 and the Torah, the case might be made that the thrust of the expression in Dan 12:7 is that the Beast power under discussion will change the festivals and Torah for a 1260-day or a three and a half year period of time as stipulated in Dan 7:25.

Thus, the conclusion here has to be that the persecution for the 1260 days or years address YHWH’s festivals/Sabbaths and the Torah which an evil Beast power will think to change for a 1260-day period of time.

What Happened Under Rome

In the ante-type under Rome, this is what happened.  Religious festivals of the Sabbath, Passover, Unleavened Bread, Shavuot, Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur and Sukkoth were changed to Sunday worship—like Christmas, Easter, Halloween (which seems to have actually started in the days of Jeroboam after the division of the kingdom), Thanksgiving Day, New Year’s Day, etc.  Manifestly, this has been the essence of the 1260 years of persecution under the Roman Catholic Church (in that a believer cannot easily work, have a job and provide for himself and his family when he keeps the Scriptural appointed times instead of those designated by Rome).

Yet, while the Roman Catholic change of the festivals of Lev 23 are clearly involved, there may be more to it.  In a very clear age-end prophecy, Zechariah 7:3 to 8:19 has it that the leaders of the House of Judah in Jerusalem address a deputation from someone on whether the so-called five fast days of the Jews should continue to be kept or not.  Note that while they have been times for sadness and mourning in the vein of fast days, they would/will become festivals of joy and happiness at some future time.

While the Protestant daughters of the whore (Rev 17:5) had a chance to change festivals back to the Scriptures (in Lev 23 and likely the five fasts of Judaism as they have a Scriptural basis as well) with the Peace of Westphalia and religious freedom, they did not do so.  Therefore, since 1648 until today, the religious definition of Christianity has essentially remained locked in with the Roman Catholic change of the festivals and Law/Torah as prophesied in Dan 7:25.  Now, for the age-end typical fulfillment, will it be something different?  Or will it be the same with some slight modifications or changes to what Christendom has obeyed and taught since the 4th century?

Some Differences in the Age-End

The purpose of this presentation is to say that the age-end changes will be based on what Christendom has inherited and followed for the last 1,700/2,000 years--but with some more modifications.  Here, this article is saying that the evidence is in place that some more changes are coming on the festivals and Torah here in the age-end.  These changes will last about 1260 days till YESHUA comes to end the period of Dan 12:7.

The take of this writer is that indeed in the age-end the Beast power will add some further changes to what Rome had changed many centuries ago.  As discussed elsewhere at this web site (New World Calendar at www.age-end.com), the case can be made that the age-end Beast power will establish a world calendar which will unify the world’s different calendars into one common calendar (as evidenced by the Roman Julian-Gregory Christian calendar with that of the Greeks, Muslims, Jews, etc).

Tragically, for Scriptural believers, it appears that this coming world calendar will disrupt the weekly cycle to not only affect the Very Elect who keep the weekly Sabbaths and the annual festivals, but it will similarly affect the Jews (with their Sabbaths, festivals and fasts); generic Christendom with their Sunday, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc festivals; Muslims (who keep Fridays and their own festival days); and other religions as well which have designated festival days.

Hence, in going to what the Beast power seemingly has in mind, in the coming days, it appears conceivable now, based on the above from Daniel and Zechariah, that there will be a Beast power motion to impose on the world and its different religions a new unified approach on so called holidays and/or religious observances.  Per the new world calendar, now being addressed, there will be four quarters of 91 days each exactly the same; and will leave one odd day (for the 365-year cycle) to be designated as a world holiday (on leap years, there will be two such world holidays).  It will be this one or two world holidays which disrupts the weekly cycle.

But here, this writer must suggest that this push for world holidays will go still further.  It is very plausible that the age-end Beast man might decide to establish common days as holidays throughout the world.  This is not far-fetched as the US has already shown its willingness under Khazar Jew commercialism to abolish regular calendar day observances in order to establish Monday holidays for historic events that used to be on the exact solar days of their occurrences (like the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr, presidents’ day, memorial day, Columbus day, etc).

Of course, the Beast power may do this with his new universal calendar on the premise of being good for business/commercialism (and especially after the world’s economic system further deteriorates under the Khazar Jew imposed depression now in progress).

The Impact of YESHUA’s Return

There is still one more little caveat on Dan 12:7 where the festival change ends with YESHUA and His apparent return to end man’s misrule of planet Earth.  My take for some time now is that key events associated with YESHUA’s return will coincide with the dating needs of the Scriptural festivals of Lev 23 plus the five fast days observed in Judaism.  In this vein, Zech 7-8 will be fulfilled in that YESHUA’s actions on those days will turn them into festivals of joy and happiness whereas they had previously been fasts of sorrow and mourning.

For example, the 7th Trumpet sounds at Yom Teruah.  YESHUA will return to start His conquest of the Beast on Yom Kippur.  He will rescue the Very Elect from the Beast at Sukkot.  He will defeat the evil Amalekite Khazars and ultimately destroy them on the 13th day of Adar (another Jewish fast day).  He will attack the Beast in Jerusalem on the 10th day of the 10th month (a Jewish fast day).

The seven last plagues come on the Beast perhaps starting on Jeroboam’s feast of Bul 15 and continue on to Passover (where the plagues fell on the Egyptians in Exodus) while the election is at safety at the Sea of Glass.  Perhaps next, YESHUA will lead the remaining people of Israel out of their age-end, effective, Egyptian bondage (and sin) during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

YESHUA will conquer Jerusalem from the Beast on the 17th day of the 4th month (another Jewish fast day).  He will clean the Temple and restore the Daily Sacrifice on the 9th day of the 5th month (another Jewish fast day).  And He will be crowned King of Israel on the 3rd day of the 7th month (another Jewish fast day).

Now that we have looked at what is being addressed, perhaps the next question of applying this “what” will happen is to ask when will it happen in the age-end?  As outlined in this possible scenario of what YESHUA will do on His return, it must be observed that all of these things could be done in one period of time from Yom Kippur of one year to the next Yom Kippur of the next year.

In this vein, this seems to be the exact situation with the Jubilee of Lev 25:9-55.  YESHUA allowed that His return would indeed happen in a Jubilee year, also called the acceptable year of YHWH (Isa 61:1-2; Lu 4:19).  Isaiah 61:1 uses the Hebrew deror in the vein of bringing liberty to the captives.  Deror is used in Leviticus 25:10 in reference to the Jubilee.  YESHUA in Luke 4:19 used the same word and idea where the KJV associates the coming judgment with the acceptable year of YHWH which seems to be the Jubilee.

It now appears highly likely that the Scriptural festivals of Lev 23 (plus the five Jewish fast days) will all have a fulfillment during the coming Jubilee year of the return of YESHUA.  In terms of the once five Jewish fast days of mourning and sadness, they will become festivals of joy and happiness--certainly for the House of Judah and likely for all of Israel as well (Zech 8:19).

Before leaving this idea on the fulfillment of the festivals, this writer must add that in the age-end, the five fast days of Judaism will also become applicable to the House of Israel in the Diaspora (along with the Scriptural festival days set forth in Lev 23 which have always applied).  This will come about as events affecting the House of Israel will happen on those days.  For example, the House of Israel (surely with its leadership with Ephraim/the United States) falls to an invasion by an adversarial power on the 17th day of the Fourth Month one year.  Of course, the fast of Esther on the evils of the Amalekite (Khazars) applied to the House of Israel for the last 2,400 years though Israel stupidly never understood it.

Defining the “When” will it Start

Now that the Scriptural evidence is in on defining the expression time, times and half of time in the age-end (and the evidence that it probably covers approximately three and one half prophetic years or 1260 days), the next issue is when is the exact time period for which event.  The two references in Daniel and the seeming one in Revelation could cover one, two or more actors/events that will surface in the age end period which probably will cover about three and a half years.

Revelation 12:6 and 14 probably occur first in sequence.  Since the very elect are given the opportunity of fleeing to a refuge or place of safety, the implication is that this happens before the prophesied trouble sets in in-earnest to make fleeing difficult if not impossible (on this see Jer 4, Mic 4, Zech 2 and 4, Matt 24:15-21, and Luke 21:2-24 all of which address the same theme).

As the Very Elect constitute the first fruits of the Sukkot harvest, it stands to reason that they should be the first people harvested as set forth in Rev 14.  In the context of Rev 11:15, the 7th trumpet sounds on Yom Teruah (the 1st day of the 7th month or festival of Trumpets) on or just after the two witnesses ascend into the heavens (following their prophetic work of 42 months and being slain and lying in the streets of Jerusalem while the people of the world have a three and half-day holiday celebration).  Sometime after this ascension, YESHUA returns.

Since the Jubilee trumpet sounds on the 10th day of the 7th month (Yom Kippur), we must accept that this is the first engagement that YESHUA has with the army of the Beast which is in Bozrah on the way to annihilate the Very Elect at their place of safety.  The Prophet Isaiah describes this attack by YESHUA on the Beast army in detail (Isa 34, 63).  This is where YESHUA puts the blame on Satan (and his Amalekite children) where it should belong.  This is all about the prophetic significance of Yom Kippur.

The harvest of Rev 14 starts with the very elect (at Sukkot).  It is probable that the rest of the election still alive and undergoing the Great Tribulation probably follows soon and by the 15th day of the 8th month which recognizes the evil of Jeroboam when he changed the Sukkot festival of the 7th Scriptural month to the 15th day of the 8th month.  The portion of the 144,000 election now dead will be resurrected soon after the very elect—perhaps in this same time period of Rev 14 or later at the manifest return of YESHUA in Rev 19.

In any case, on the question of the resurrection of the dead election people, this harvest of Rev 14 probably concludes the approximately three and a half years making up the time, times and half of time of Rev 12.  It is easy to count back 1260 days from Sukkot of the start of the Jubilee (in the fall of 2015) and see when it appears that Philadelphia makes her move to safety while the rest of the election are found wanting and left behind to undergo Satan’s Great Tribulation (or at least one aspect of Dan 7:25).  Manifestly, the Great Tribulation did not start until sometime after the escape of Philadelphia.

This writer has it that this escape may take place as early as the month of Aviv of 2012.  Yet, things may not be in place by then for the move and especially if the Jubilee does not cover Yom Kippur of 2015 to Yom Kippur of 2016 as allowed herein (the Jubilee could cover a regular year from Aviv 1 to Aviv I).  So, we must watch events in the coming days to see if this development arrives on stage as this writer now calculates based on the Jubilee.  It could easily slip to a half year later or perhaps a full year later, as discussed herein.

In this context, as described, it might be that the Great Tribulation does commence shortly after Aviv 2012—perhaps by the Fourth Month.  Possibly, there will be a number of events underway to prompt the need for Philadelphia to leave in Aviv 2012.

The economic situation in the house of Israel may progress to the point of anarchy and rebellion in the streets, and especially if the US becomes manifestly bankrupt and food stamps end.  A failing harvest and any number of other things could precipitate enormous trouble in the House of Israel which could prompt martial law and an effective sealing of the borders which will not readily allow people in general to flee.

All of this developing trouble, which the Khazar Jew leaders will successfully blame on the economy (and not on themselves though they will are the real culprits involved per the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion), may bring on enormous persecution on the election (the 144,000 of Rev 7).  An economic collapse could prompt the UN to adopt a new calendar and newly defined festivals in accordance with the new calendar.  As a minimum, the weekly cycle of seven days may be disrupted when the extra one day holiday is imposed.  All of this may present the time, times and half of time of tribulation as allowed in Dan 7:25.

The Next Series of Events

Once YESHUA recovers the balance of the election still alive and takes them to the Sea of Glass (Rev 15:2-3), the next event in sequence in Revelation is the seven last plagues of Rev 15-16.  This process allows Rev 17-18 to take place where the whore Roman Church, her harlot Protestant daughter Christian churches, and the Babylonian system they run on earth (under Khazar Jew management) are all judged.  This could start by Bul 15 and may conclude at Passover the next Aviv.

While it is easy to blame mother Rome for her great evil, the truth is she was founded in about 31-46 CE by Amalekite sons of Satan and often directed and managed by the same workers of evil as established in volume 33 in Ezekiel and YHWH’s Judgment for the Good News People at age-end.com.  It is probable that the seven last plagues under YESHUA (as the Death Angel of Exodus 11) have much to do with this judgment on Rome, her daughters and their Khazar Jew masters and colleagues.

In this environment, the Beast man, the False Prophet (the Pope) and the Beast army in Palestine retreat to take up positions of defense in Jerusalem.  This will be their last stand against truth and righteousness.  This sets the stage for the return of YESHUA in Rev 19 where every eye shall see Him.  This probably happens during Hanukkah since the work of Judas Maccabees was an ante-type of what YESHUA will do on His return.

In the vein that YESHUA will fulfill the Jewish fast days, it is logical to believe that He makes his next attack on the Beast power at Jerusalem.  Since He will be involved in the imposition of the seven last plagues and cleaning up the land, it might be that on the 10th day of the 10th month, He imposes a siege on the Beast power in Jerusalem (a siege to effectively seal them into the confines of Jerusalem while He cleans up the land and removes all of their evil influence).

With the coming of Passover the next Aviv (on the 14th day), YESHUA and His work directs the last of the seven plagues on the Beast system while protecting their adverse effects on the surviving people of Israel.  This should remove all presence, influence and power of the Beast system over Israel, save its reality under siege in Jerusalem.

In any case, this will set the stage for the Feast of Unleavened Bread where YESHUA collects/harvests the surviving people of Israel scattered out in captivity and slavery throughout the world (Dan 12:1).  They will be harvested in the flesh and brought to Palestine to live.  This will be the fulfillment of the prophetic implications of the exodus from Egypt where YHWH under Moshe delivered Israel from Egyptian slavery.  It likely concludes around Shavuot (Pentecost).

Though it is not completely clear to this writer, but probably this concluding period of time from Unleavened Bread to Shavuot ends some three and a half years of tribulation on fleshly Israel (which might coincide with or be near a similar three and half years of trouble on Protestant Christianity and maybe even generic Christianity as a whole).  Whereas the tribulation on the election was religiously focused on the Scriptural festivals and Torah, these are non-issues to most Israelites as they have never obeyed the Scriptures in the first place.  The religious requirements of the Torah are a non-issue with most Israelites locked in heathen sun worship.

In any case, the pagan House of Israel people will undergo great trouble with war, famine, disease epidemics, loss of their independence, captivity and slavery all in the context of Jacob’s Trouble which will have started in part during the first half of the last seven years.  In the last part of three and a half years, these troubles intensify and are a tribulation effectively though different from that facing the election.  Thus, this last trouble on the people of Israel may start in the late fall of 2012 with the takeover of power by the Beast man at the UN/world government headquarters and last for three and a half years to about Shavuot of 2016.

The Concluding Events

With the Beast man, False Prophet and remnants of the Beast government and army in Jerusalem, YESHUA makes His final attack on the Beast power, probably around the early part of the Fourth Month of 2016.  By the 17th day, the Beast power is largely crushed in Jerusalem and YESHUA takes over the city.  Perhaps the Beast man and False prophet hide out in a part of the city/area with a few defenders (as happened in the Antiochus ante-type when Judas Maccabees, as the ante-type of YESHUA, captured the city while some of the Greek defenders held up in the citadel) before they are later captured by the 5th day of the 10th month when the last vestiges of opposition ends (Ezek 33:21).

In addressing the three and a half times of Dan 12:7, some commentators have it that the 1260 days here address the time that the Beast man is in charge of man’s world government in the age end (thus, dating from Dan 11:21) to his end (Dan 12:6).  This probably defines the 42 months of the rule of the Beast man.

By the 9th day of the Fifth Month, YESHUA cleans the Temple site, prepares the artifacts needed and resumes the Daily Sacrifice, which dates from a point late in 2012/early 2013 that runs 1290 days (Dan 12:11).  Some 45 days later, Dan 12:12 takes place to effectively represent the end of the matter (correctly the final determination as some translators have it).  This takes us to around the last days of the 6th month of 2016 (around the 25th day of Ellul).

By the 3rd day of the 7th month, YESHUA is crowned KING of Israel on Mount Zion as He sits over Yakov’s pillar stone under perhaps the UK’s coronation chair (Ezek 21:27; 37:24; Zech 14:6-11).  His ruler ship and assumption of rule as King of the World may come later (after He puts down all resistance).  But for sure, He seems to become KING over Israel about this date to fulfill the fast day of the 3rd day of Ethanim.

The Bottom Line

The above scenario and certainly the dating are very approximate and the best analysis by this writer at this time.  Hindsight is always better than foresight; so events may not precisely occur as outlined above.  And too, it is very easy to be off a year or two in anticipating fulfillments of Scriptural prophecy.
