Publisher’s Preface

Greetings!  The following presentation is volume eighteen of a 36-volume production of some 6,000 pages on “Ezekiel and YHWH’s Judgment for the Good News People,” all of which is on the Internet at the www.age-end.com web site.

This overall effort provides an interpretation of the Good News message in the New Testament, its linkage to the book of Ezekiel, and an application of both to the age-end prophecies relating to certain nations and peoples now out in the world.  In order for this single volume to be understood and comprehended, it is imperative that the study be read from its beginning--from page one of volume one.

Anyone trying to read this volume or the study’s 6,000 pages at any mid-point will end up in a state of confusion without having read and digested the preceding material.  It is crucially important that this work be read in sequence from its beginning--otherwise, the reader will almost certainly end up missing the essence of the message!

The effort was originally set on a Macintosh computer with Microsoft Word 6.0.1.  It was set in Helvetica, 12-point type (18 pt on chapter headings); single line spacings; and margins:  left 1.2”, right 0.8”, top 0.7”, bottom 0.8” and footer 0.6” (for page numbers).

For further information on obtaining this study in 18 computer floppy disks (IBM-formatted, high density, 2HD, 1.44 MB, 3 1/2 inches); in a single CD-Rom; or in hard copies (when the Internet or a compatible computer is not available); please write the publisher at the above address and send a stamped, self-addressed, long (legal-size), return envelope.

With a CD-Rom or computer floppy disks, the study is readable on Macintosh (systems 5.0 and later) or IBM/compatible (with Microsoft Word-Windows) personal computers.  May The Great CREATOR and SOVEREIGN OF THE UNIVERSE bless you as you study His word to learn His will and to obey Him.  Shalom (peace) to you and yours!

Chapter 264--Sun Worship Pollution

Cancer

One of the things which American people have been throwing billions of dollars at annually for quite some time now has been cancer.  While some of this money is spent on medical care of persons with cancer, and/or cancer health insurance, much of it is also spent by the various governments (from taxation or money printing) for health care of the (cancerous) poor and aged and cancer research.

For about 30 years now, the US and other governments have had a so-called war on cancer (plus a war on drugs, as discussed previously).  Like the war on drugs, the war on cancer is not really meant to accomplish anything.

The war on cancer is a scheme designed to pacify the gullible public, and make them think that the politicians and ruling fat cats really care about the people; when, in fact, they don’t care.  They want the status quo to continue because they are making gobs of money off of the present situation.

In an article on “Life--the Missing Link,” in the Winter-Spring 98 “Back to the Garden” magazine (p. 6), the previously quoted Dr George H. Malkmus estimated an expenditure of over $1 trillion annually by Americans for health care because of cancer, diabetes and other health problems.  Obviously, cancer and other degenerative problems cost big bucks in the US and worldwide as well.

A front page headline in the May 29, 1997, “USA Today” said the US government’s program of a war on cancer was “a bust” after spending $30 billion of the taxpayer’s money.

Yes, cancer deaths keep climbing.  The “Information Please Almanac,” 1990 to 1997, put the annual death rate, per 100,000 people at 67.7 in 1900, 86.9 in 1920, 123.1 in 1940, 182.5 in 1980, 203.2 in 1990 and 206.0 in 1993.

A March 13, 1998, news report did try to claim that deaths had leveled off or went down slightly in recent years.  But this report remains very questionable for a number of reasons.  A lot depends on what study was involved and how extensive it was in terms of its population.

As a minimum, many of the reports coming from the former Clinton administration were nothing but twisted lies and distortions--so one must be careful about accepting news coming out of Washington or even from the controlled national media (the same is just as true today with the Bush administration).

Cancer is now the number one killer of children and the adult death rate has been doubling every four years (per Dr C. Samuel West, “Spotlight,” Jan 15, 1996).  It now accounts for 20% of all deaths worldwide.  Per the just mentioned “USA Today” article, cancer (if not AIDS) soon will be the number one cause of death.

The Unknown Cause

In this publicized war on cancer, the first problem the “approved” medical establishment has faced was ostensibly one of finding out what causes cancer (although a news report on Jan 13, 2000, noted that one-third of cancer cases is caused by diet).

After 30 years and hundreds of billions of dollars being spent by governments and private people, the answer is that the “approved” medical establishment still doesn’t know for sure what causes cancer or even how to properly treat it, beyond the establishment-approved, traditional, unscriptural drugs, radiation and surgery methods.

Contrary to the prevailing confusion and uncertainty in the “approved” medical science field, a number of nutritionists, alternative health care specialists and persons who read and believe the Scriptures have come up with an abundance of evidence that the ingestion (through breathing, eating, drinking, touching, feeling, etc) of pollutants and poisons is the primary cause of cancer (secondary causes--stress, infections, accidents and genetics to some extent).

Yes, cancer can be caused from breathing polluted air (like smog, poisons in tobacco smoke, asbestos fibers, etc), eating of poisoned foods (like those with DES, sodium nitrite, pesticides, numerous preservatives, dyes, enhancers, additives, etc), drinking of water (with chlorine, fluoride, chemical poisons from water run off and seepage, etc) touching (certain dyed clothes, etc) or being near poisonous sources.

The problem of very dangerous and deadly poisons is enormous and often people are simply unaware of the dangers.  For example, a recent news report said that scientific studies have suggested that two of the chemicals used in the most popular sun-screens (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) may break DNA strands--if they penetrate the skin’s outer layer (Nov-Dec 2000 “Dispatch from Jerusalem,” p. 7).

Electro-Magnetic Energy Sources

The just mentioned matter of being in the proximity of poisonous sources opens up a massive can of worms here in the early 21st century.  Since WWII, electric power lines have literally appeared all over the globe.  People live near them and they have long been suspected of causing cancer, besides emotional and mental problems.

The last thirty years have seen a turn to cellular phones, computer terminals and various microwave, electro-magnetic and wireless communication systems--all over the world.  To this list, one must add in radio, television, radar and so forth which go even further back.  It seems that man has jumped into this thing massively without the foggiest notion of what these sophisticated electronic-magnetic devices may mean.

Not only do these electronic sources themselves adversely affect humans, but a frightening story has come out of Japan which should really upset people.  The May 10, 2002, “The Week” (p. 19) says that studies have shown that the use of cell phones in closed compartment trains affects both the users and the innocent by-standers (sort of like second hand smoke that bothers even non-smokers).

This report said that 30 cell phone users in a carload of 150 passengers generated dangerously high levels of electromagnetic radiation because the radiation emitted by the phones had no place to go but to just bounce around in the compartment.

The Art Bell Dreamland program for Jan 30, 2000, had a medical doctor on who asserted that the link between these various communication systems and cancer is now firmly established.  People using cell phones extensively find that they not only have memory problems, but often brain tumors and other neuro problems as well.

The Effect?

What these massive microwave and low radio frequency devices (which must include HAARP [to be described in a later chapter], although HAARP was not cited by the doctor on the Art Bell program) are doing to nature and the environment is still unknown.  Certainly, schools and groups of porpoises, dolphins and other mammals, birds and fish using sound communications are going crazy and dying.

Whales are beaching themselves increasingly, penguins are mixed up, frogs are vanishing all over the world in droves, and sharks are coming into coastal waters and attacking humans in those waters near the shoreline (as happened several times in Aug and early Sep 2001, with swimmers in waters off of Florida, Virginia and North Carolina).

Is there a cause and effect relationship between all of these problems in nature and man’s increasing use of electro-magnetic systems in the last 30 years?  Anyway, enough is known to make a person realize that he should stay away from these electrical sources as much as possible.  They are dangerous to even be around.

Dr Nick Begich

Incidentally, on the subject of whales beaching themselves, there seems to be some evidence which does suggest the reason or cause behind some of the beachings (not all of them, but some or many of them).  For example, some whales, other marine animals and fish are diseased in some manner, suggesting environmental pollution.

Otherwise, Dr Nick Begich had some interesting reports on scientific efforts to disrupt nature on the Coast to Coast AM radio program on Jan 6, 2001.  He discussed the present efforts of the US government (principally the US Navy) and other nations to conduct sonar experiments in the oceans.

Begich says sonar sound waves are stronger and more powerful under water.  They seem to have an enormous impact upon water mammals, fish and so forth.  He says that whales nearby or even at some distance away can be injured by these sonar experiments.  The ears of whales can be punctured/shattered--which causes them to beach themselves.

Obviously, other experiments can damage or upset the sonar and positioning and directional finding capabilities of water life.  Thus, whales (though otherwise healthy) can get all mixed up and beach themselves in confusion.  Begich brought up the realties of HAARP, which also could be playing a role in all forms of wildlife (including whales), as well as domesticated animals and people.  HAARP will be assessed later.

Dr Begich adds that the US government is spending huge sums of money on these underwater experiments going on in many oceans/seas around the world (apparently much of it in the form of black, classified projects).  He questions the value and purpose of many of these “scientific” efforts.

More on Frogs

The steady, slow, persistent disappearance of frogs was in the limelight in a news report on “Is it the water?” in the April 29, 2002, “U.S. News & World Report” (p. 63).  Per this story, the last decade saw more than 200 species of frogs decline and some 20 species are now thought to have gone extinct.  The question must be why on this enormous loss of frogs?

The USNWR noted a recent study of the nation’s most popular agricultural weed-killer atrazine.  Each year, some 76 million pounds of atrazine are sprayed upon corn and sorghum.  Much of it ends up in the water run off.

In laboratory experiments at the University of California (Berkeley), endocrinologist Tyrone Hayes found that just 0.1 part per billion of this stuff can hamper male frogs’ sexual development, even turning them into hermaphrodites.  As it turns out, this study was produced just as the EPA has been assessing safe atrazine levels for so-called human beings.

The 0.1 part per billion is just a thirtieth of the EPA standard for human drinking water.  This means that so-called human beings are consuming far more of atrazine than what interferes in the development of frogs.  Obviously, this whole subject is important both for the future of frogs as well as that of humans/humanoids.  Thus, is it possible that this one weed-killer has had a role to play in the wiping out of frogs?

More on Water

Thus, how about the water man drinks in today’s modern culture?  Is it safe and good for human consumption?  Or alternatively, is it possible that there are serious problems in today’s modern drinking water which the establishment leaders and scientists simply have overlooked?

The need for clean water has been assessed in a prior chapter on health.  There is no need to repeat those comments on need.  However, the point here concerns whether the available drinking water is clean and adequate for human consumption or does it have problems?  As noted earlier, it does have problems!

What a tragedy it is that The HIGHEST made an abundant source of good, clean, wonderful water for humans to drink with friendly beneficial bacteria and minerals and particularly as found in the underground water supply, springs and even many flowing water ways.  Today, man has polluted all these sources to various degrees.

Because most of the common water supply is totally polluted with unfriendly bacteria (from sewage and septic tank discharges), man has to treat the water with chlorine before it can be drunk.  Of course, chlorine is a poison which not only kills the friendly and unfriendly bacteria, but also begins a process of killing its human consumers (slowly over time).

Chlorinated tap water is generally bad for consumption.  It is ultimately a killer to whomsoever is dumb enough to drink it.  Yes, chlorine is a chemical poison which causes miscarriages, bladder cancer and other diseases.  Over time, it does kill for sure.

People alive in this present warped society should go the extra mile and consume pure water without these added chemical poisons.  Distilled water is safe and the better option (and purified water next).  Some clean rain and spring water (from a controlled and safe source) is probably best, if available.

Not content with selling chlorine poison to water companies, the fat cats who rule the world figured out years ago that they could also sell fluoride (also a poison) to water suppliers, as well, on the premise that fluoride helps to prevent tooth decay.  And why do modern people have such a problem with tooth decay?  Well, the answer is simply too much consumption of poisonous, processed, unnatural foods and sugar.

So both poisons are added to the water most persons drink and then the people never understand why they have cancer and other diseases.  Only a fool drinks the public’s water supplies.  Yet, the entire, Western, Christian, sun worship culture drinks it and never whimpers or never seems to mind or question why.

More Really Bad Stuff

Beyond the chlorine and fluoride poison additions, the truth is that much of the chemicals and other poisons that men use in today’s culture eventually runs off into the various sewage and septic tank systems to pollute the underground water table; and of course, the rivers, creeks and streams which flow nearby.

Many of the bathroom, clothing and dish cleaning items are deadly poisons.  You think not?  Take a few minutes and read the labels on your friendly detergent, soap, disinfectant and plumber helper products.  Almost without exception, the labels warn about getting this stuff in one’s eyes, breathing it or coming into other close contact with it.

Why?  Because these products are typically deadly chemical poisons.  They kill!  So, where does all of this stuff run off when one uses it in his or her happy kitchen sink, bathroom and toilet bowl?  Yes, these poisons flow to the septic tanks and sewage systems to run right back into the person’s own water supplies for drinking purposes (after being diluted with sewage water).

Obviously, as these poisons seep into the ground from septic tanks, they eventually seep to the underground water table, although some of them are filtered out in the rock and soil layers.

For people hooked up to a public/municipal sewage system, the poisons flow into that system (typically for treatment of the sewage bacteria, but not really for the removal of the inorganic poisons) to find their way eventually to the rivers and streams where people also drink from.

A Tragic Report

A Jan 2, 2002, news report classically demonstrates how far the modern madness has extended in man’s continuing efforts to pollute his drinking water.  The story concerns a recent discovery that there is now a huge adverse fall-out from the gross use and presence of modern pharmaceutical drugs (which are mostly poisons, as discussed in previous remarks).

The problem arises when the average John and Mary Doe citizens end up with some of these poisonous pills which were left over after an illness or need and not taken.  While it is true that some persons will hang onto these old drugs and pills for a while to see if the illness or problem returns, eventually most all people with these poisons end up disposing of the left over drugs.

Too often, people throw these left-overs into their commodes to be flushed down the toilet drain.  Once in water, these pills dissolve; and of course, are passed back to the water supply to eventually be drunk by the public.  As is a well known fact of life, water treatment plants simply do not filter out all of the inorganic materials present in water.  Much of this stuff stays in the water to be later consumed by people.

Anyway, scientists are discovering fish that have been poisoned or affected by pharmaceutical drugs.  For example, birth control pills are popular right now and many of the left-overs are tossed into the nation’s water supply.

The residuals from these pills are affecting the reproduction capabilities of fish.  Of course, the poisons are both affecting and killing fish.

The US Geological Survey

A later news report on March 12, 2002, added that recent samplings of water by the US Geological Survey from a large number of rivers and streams in America (140 waterways in thirty states) now show the extensive presence of these medicines and drugs.

The March 25, 2002, “Time” magazine (p. 59) presented the details of this US Geological Survey.  Some 95 chemicals were tracked.  Some 74% of the samples made showed insect repellents, 70% contained caffeine, 48% had antibiotics present, 40% produced reproductive hormones, 32% contained prescription drugs, and 27% had fragrances.

The chemicals (generally poisons) are known to come from farms and factories, as well as toilets, sinks and medicine chests.  Environmentalists fear that even trace amounts of some pollutants might increase resistance to antibiotics, disrupt reproductive cycles or act as carcinogens.  Scientists concluded that they don’t know enough about the problem to predict what the dangers could be down the road.

While many cities have sewage treatment plants that treat much of the human fecal matter and waste, the fact remains that most of the poisons are never removed from the water (as outlined above).  This water eventually returns to some human water supply (like rivers, streams, lakes, etc) to be drunk again and again by humans/humanoids.

Some water supplies downstream on large rivers provide water that has already been urinated and used several times upstream by various users.  Here, one might note such popular cities as St. Louis, New Orleans, Memphis, etc.  Their drinking water was once sewage and poisonous waste of other cities and towns up river.

In any case, the dilemma over the drinking water is not just an isolated problem.  Instead, it is pandemic in scope and potential.

So, if these poisons are present in some quantity and if they are persistent and leave a residual in the water to be eventually consumed by the public at large, what will be the impact of these residuals when they reach unsuspecting people who are foolish enough to drink the usual tap water found in society?  What will these poisons do to people when ingested?

Antifreeze

Please consider the case of deadly automobile antifreeze.  This stuff is a terrible poison.  Again, read the labels if the reader doubts it.

The toxicity of antifreeze was illustrated in news reports in early July 2002 which said that a prankster in the Spokane, Washington area had fed some neighborhood cats tuna fish, laced with antifreeze.  The cats were killed and the cat owners were much upset and pushed for the boy to be prosecuted at law for a criminal act.

Although some used antifreeze is now recycled, much of it in the public arena still runs off to the various septic tanks, sewage systems and water run-off actions to pollute the public’s water supplies.

Even many city and state highway departments spray antifreeze on highways whenever there is a layer of ice on them.  Of course, this stuff runs off to pollute the public’s water sources.  But the brilliant people who sell and use this stuff will explain how it helps automobiles, trucks and other traffic move more safely on the streets and highways during bad weather.

The Current Crisis

How bad is the water problem?  The December 6, 1999, “US News & World Report” (p. 86) had a story by Amanda Spake on “With a splash of VOCs” which addressed the issue.

Spake says that a report from the US Geological Survey, just released in 1999 (that was earlier and different from the March 2002 US Geological Survey sampling discussed above), found that 47% of urban wells contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are a class of toxic chemicals found in gasoline, paints and plastics and used in industry.

In rural areas, some 14% of wells had the same findings.  The USGS estimated that some 42 million people are drinking these chemical poisons daily.  Even small amounts of these VOCs are considered important environmental contaminants because many are water soluble and persist in the environment.

The EPA’s Assistant Administrator, J. Charles Fox, said that the health related problems are chronic and that over the life of a person, ingestion of them causes cancer, reproductive problems, developmental effects and so forth.

The most detectable poison was chloroform, a carcinogen.  It is a byproduct of the disinfecting of water drawn from rivers and reservoirs for tap water (which means that people drinking city tap water must be getting some of it routinely).  However, the fact that it is found in wells means that it is seeping into ground water from lawn irrigation, leaking water mains and sewers.

The next most common chemical found was MTBE, an additive put into gasoline.  It will be addressed in subsequent commentary herein.

A distribution map of the chemical concentrations was published by USNWR with the story.  As could be expected, urban areas and particularly those East of the Mississippi have a much heavier presence of the problem.

However, it was also interesting that some strange places like the Snake River valley in Southern Idaho also demonstrated some serious problems.  Why the significant presence along the Snake?  The answer is that this area is a farm producing zone which uses irrigation water.  Obviously, these irrigation waters are picking up pesticides and farm chemicals and seeping them into the ground water sources.

More Chemical Poisons

Of course, there are all kinds of chemical land fills, dumps and run offs where various waste chemical products end up.  Quite naturally, they pollute the underground water table and nearby streams and rivers.  This condition is often hid from the public.  But it is present in the real world of reality.

People stupidly believe that by using chlorine poisons to kill the live bacteria in water that the water becomes clean and pure all of a sudden.

This rank confusion and ignorance never addresses some of the other profound problems in modern drinking water--like the inorganic chemicals and poisons present which in small amounts do not immediately kill.  But over the years, they add up to eventually bring sickness and death.

A good illustration of how easy it is to pollute the underground water table was covered in an Associated Press report from Grandview, WA on about Dec 5, 1998.  It seems that years ago a farm near Grandview was used to store farm chemicals, including deadly “Dinoseb,” an herbicide, which was eventually banned.

Other than unloading these poisons, storing them and loading them out to buyers in supposedly sealed containers, there was no other exposures of these poisons at the site.

Despite this alleged limited presence, the poisons nevertheless leaked from the containers or were otherwise spilled in transferring them to various containers.  They completely polluted the area’s nearby soil and underground water table.

In this Grandview case, the poisons there were in containers and were not being used on farm crops and along road ways, as are the normal practices.  If the few minor leaks at the site were sufficient to poison the nearby land and the underground water table, is it not manifest that the actual spraying and using of these products could similarly cause an ecological disaster over time?

In a follow-up case of the poisoning of the land, the Sep 14, 2002, “Spokane Spokesman-Review” (p. B4) had an AP story from Wenatchee, Washington on the recent discovery of high levels of lead and arsenic poisoning found at 15 school playgrounds in that area.

The source of the contamination was not immediately identified, but a combination of lead and arsenic was once used in the area to control codling moths in the apple orchards.

DOD

In early 2000, the US Defense Department (DOD) found that it had a large amount of excess or obsolete chemical warfare waste products to dispose of permanently.  The brilliant scientists conceived and DOD executed a plan to place (pour?) these highly poisonous chemical wastes into deep underground wells in the Denver, CO area.

What will be the outcome of this insanity?  No one knows for sure.  But DOD officials were able to momentarily get rid of a lot of these poisonous chemicals which would have cost them a lot of money to otherwise dispose of.

In June 2000, there was a number of mysterious small earthquakes and tremors in the Denver area.  So some geologists speculated that they may have been produced by the chemical dump into the deep water table.

Perhaps soon, other Americans will drink some of these poisons as they travel in other directions from the dump sites (there are underground rivers which move water about).  This has been one of the problems from radioactive material in the underground test sites in Nevada.  The radiation can disperse into underground water.

Chapter 265--Pollution is Everywhere

Modern Poisons Abound

The short of the preceding chapter is that the environment one lives in today is full of thousands of man-made, poisonous chemicals which are in the food eaten, water drunk, air breathed and so forth.

The Feb 1, 2003, Spokane “Spokesman-Review” (p. A3) had a Knight Ridder story by Wendy Wendland-Bowyer on “Toxic chemicals found in Americans” which reported on a recent study on chemicals by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC).  The study involved 2,500 Americans in the years 1999-2000.

The CDC measured the presence of 116 chemicals in the blood and urine samples of the people in the study.  Nearly all of the 116 chemicals have been found to be toxic in animal studies, but little is known about their impact on so-called human beings.

Humans/humanoids absorb the chemicals from such common things as phthalates (a softening substance added to many produces--including food), teething rings, shampoo, plastic bags, nail polish and vinyl tubing.  Phthalates have been found to cause reproductive problems in animals.  Lead poisoning in people remains a problem, but it was down from prior years.

Inevitably, all of us ingest this stuff.  While much of it may not cause an immediate cancer and death, it does build up (accumulate) and will cause eventual death (as asbestos does some 40 years later after exposure)--if the person does not die sooner from something else.

Surely, individuals with brain power above the moron and imbecile levels should be able to wake up and realize that if pesticide poisons kill bugs and insects and if rat poison kills rats and mice, rest assured that these very same chemical poisons will kill people if ingested (immediately, if the dose is big enough; or over time, if the dose is smaller but accumulating).

Previous chapters and comments now made have outlined the enormous problems of chemicals impacting upon human health; and indeed, in causing cancer in modern people.

But it is not only cancer which surfaces from ingesting chemical poisons.  There are all kinds of other diseases and health problems arising from the ingestion of such poisons.

More on Plastics

Since the introduction of plastics, following WWII, the modern society has been completely flooded with them (as noted above and elsewhere herein).  Almost all facets of modern living is influenced and affected in some manner by plastics.

Perhaps the biggest tragedy about this phenomenal explosion in technology is that the production of plastics has occurred in a blind vacuum where the overall society has no concept at all about the health aspects of the various plastics in use.  While maybe some of them are harmless (“maybe?”), there has to be questions about the others.

And from time to time, a report does surface either questioning or accusing some chemicals in plastics of causing health problems in humans or animals.  Perhaps one of the best illustrations of this occurred in an Apr 1, 2003, story in the Spokane “Spokesman-Review” (p. A2) entitled “Plastic linked to miscarriages, Down syndrome.”

This report, from the “Los Angeles Times,” concerned a new study which showed that a chemical widely found in food packaging and other plastics may cause severe defects in embryos, and at levels people are commonly exposed to.  The concern was over bisphenol A (BPA) which is used in the manufacture of hard plastics.  BPA can leach from plastic baby bottles and cookware as they age.

The study said that when a cell is exposed to BPA, “it looks like someone shot the chromosomes with a shotgun.”  They are totally disorganized.  It means a death sentence to developing embryos.

Parkinson’s?

The Dec 2000 “Internet Vortex” (p. 30) had an article on “Parkinson’s Linked to Pesticide” which zeroed in on the pesticide dilemma.  Many persons are aware that there has been an enormous explosion up in Parkinson’s disease in the last 60 years.

Parkinson’s disease is a neurological ailment that is caused by the death of brain cells that produce the neurotransmitter dopamine.  It results in tremors, muscle stiffness, impaired balance, shaking and possible eventual incapacity.  Per Vortex, it now affects one in one hundred people over age 65.

But the modern tragedy about this disease is that so-called science has been unable to precisely define the cause of the disease.  However, Vortex quoted a recent Reuters report which suggested that it could be traceable to certain pesticides.

The pesticide “rotenone” is a widely used product in gardening.  It has been found in laboratory experiments that injections of rotenone into rats give them symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.  Could there be a link?  Well, that question is still unanswered by modern “science.”  But this report could open the door to the possible role of other chemical poisons, beyond rotenone, in causing Parkinson’s.

Laura Lee

Moreover, take the case of chemical poisons (pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, etc), all of which poison the soil, sterilize and kill worms and friendly bacteria (which help plants to grow); and produce agricultural products (which are nutritionally inferior), and plants that are so sick that they attract all kinds of predator insects (as will be discussed below).

Bugs and insects have always been a threat in the traditional sun worship farming culture and particularly in the modern mono-agriculture situations where vast fields are planted with one item (nature’s way is having several different items spread out in one field--Isa 28:23-27, per “J. B. Phillips Translation”).  It’s too bad that Christian sun worshippers never read or heed the Tanakh messages.

Beyond these obvious problems surfacing in mono-agriculture practices, there is another more subtle and discreet feature which is largely unknown and unrecognized by the traditional, Christian, sun worship civilization.

Strangely enough, plants, like so-called human beings, radiate a field of electromagnetic energy--plus other scents, smells and stimuli which are read and reacted to by bugs and insects (per a discussion by a guest on the Laura Lee radio talk show program of Aug 28, 1999).  If a plant is sick or weak, nature’s program is to have bugs attack it and destroy it.

Although not elaborated upon by this agriculture expert on the Laura Lee program, it seems to also be true that the same reasoning applies to so-called human beings and their attractiveness or hostility to mosquitoes and other insect pests.  Various bugs have a job to do in nature.

Some attack sick or weak humans and animals just as others attack sick and weak plants.  People who are subject to mosquito assaults, seemingly have health, diet or metabolism problems which are attracting the mosquitoes.  Truly, mosquitoes don’t seem to particularly bother healthy humans or animals.

This same condition applies in the animal kingdom where certain wild animals prey upon, kill and eat other animals.  The first target of a predator animal (a lion, tiger, cougar, wolf or whatever) is a sick or weak animal that cannot get away or protect itself.  That’s the way nature works, whether we understand it or not.

Healthy Soil is Needed

Obviously, the key to having healthy plants and vegetation (which will not be susceptible to predator bugs and insects) is to have healthy soil that grows and produces healthy plants (which by the way are extremely nutritional, rich in vitamins and minerals, and good and tasty for human consumption).

However, in the Christian, sun worship West, money, profits and greed have always been the order of the day.  Farmers are just not concerned about practicing organic gardening with its labor intensive feature to build up the soil with good, beneficial worms and soil bacteria (all of which contribute to healthy soil--worms, for example, irradiate the soil in order to help plants grow).

Now that corporate farming has taken over American agriculture, one can be sure that a large corporation (essentially owned and controlled by fat cat, Amalekite bankers on Wall Street) are manifestly unconcerned about healthy plants, soil or people.  They have their hearts and minds set upon one thing and one thing only--profits, to satisfy their inordinate greed, get and acquire.

The surfacing of chemical poisons after WWII (in the form of pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers) was exactly what greedy producers needed in order to deal with the labor intensive and expensive features of organic gardening.

Because federal laws have produced a welfare state (where people won’t work and the minimum wage and other taxes are all so high), it is not very profitable to try to hire workers; when alternatively, a producer can buy a pesticide poison for pennies on the dollar, as compared with hiring workers.

These corporate producers could care less about the land and the question of sin (which will be addressed in later chapters).  All they want are profits right now.  And since the gullible, sun worshipping public has been willing to buy and eat poisoned and nutritionally deficient vegetables and hormone injected meats, who cares.

Pesticide Poisons Are Persistent

Incidentally, the use of pesticide poisons acts to damage or destroy the soil--at least, for many years, before intensive soil rebuilding campaigns can take hold to rejuvenate the damaged soil.  The Oct 30, 2000, “Spotlight” (p. B-15) had an article on “Banned Pesticide Showing Up in U.S. Vegetables” which illustrated the problem.

This “Spotlight” story focused upon the insecticide chlordane, a carcinogen (which was banned by the EPA in 1988).  In 2000 (and probably in 2001-2003 as well), vegetables grown in the US were still being sold in food markets with this banned pesticide (per a then study made by the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station).

The dilemma is that residues of the pesticide are still in the soil (where they once were used) and they are still being absorbed by growing plants.

What this means is that even when one buys so-called organic vegetables and fruits, he might be buying products which contain pesticide poisons once used in former years on the soil.  There simply is no easy way of getting rid of the soil contamination.  It will persist for years!

Chemicals Are Bad

“Spotlight” (p. B16) had a perceptive article on “Chemical Avalanche Affecting Behavior” by Don Harkins in its Oct 25, 1999, issue.  Harkins reported upon the work of Dr Zane Gard and others who have amassed evidence that the growing presence in crime, violence, child abuse, social and psychic problems, etc are being exacerbated by man-made poisons which are accumulating in our bodies.

Specifically, the scientists suggest that the evidence is that our present sociological miseries are the result of a populace which has been rendered toxic from its exposure to thousands of chemicals.  As Harkins notes--the last four American generations have willingly accepted the idea of “Better Living Through Chemicals.”

Harkins also quoted Dr James P. Carter, who said that there has been a ten fold increase in the use of pesticides on farmland in the last 30 years.  Yet, the average annual crop losses have remained constant and the specific losses to insects have actually doubled.  In other words, the pesticides have provided no help, but only hurt (although they are a lot cheaper than labor intensive organic gardening--ed).

In 1981, there were 70,000 chemicals in production; 3,000 were being intentionally added to our food while 700 were to be found in municipal water supplies.  Food and food storage processing units were using 10,000 other chemical compounds which could lessen the nutritional value of the food.  Gard wrote that the result has been a chemical avalanche in a very short period of time.

Gard concluded that everyone (each person) has a specific level of tolerance to these chemicals which must not be exceeded in order to maintain health.

As a sidelight, Gard lived in Sturgeon, Missouri in 1980 when the town was exposed to a spill of the deadly pesticide Dioxin from two tankers.  Dioxin, made by Monsanto, is extremely poisonous and cancer causing.  Some outright deaths and much sickness (tumors, cancers, psychological disorders and other serious problems) have been attributed to the Sturgeon spill.

Rockefeller Profits!

Back in the 19th century, old John D. Rockefeller discovered the huge profits and gains to be made from petroleum.  Early on, he produced and sold oil products as salves (the early Vaselines and petroleum jellies) and medicines for internal consumption.

Surely, many of the traveling medicine shows and con artists were handling Rockefeller’s poisons.

How many people drank or consumed some of this Rockefeller stuff to cause eventual sickness and/or cancer?  But money (profits) is the name of the game and Rocky was out to make money and not for the obedience of YAH’s laws.  He could have cared less who all might die from his profit making schemes.

One must remember that in any assessment of pollution and environmental degradation, profits and the making of money are typically behind the efforts.  In the Western Christian culture and civilization, the making of profits and gain completely dominates all aspects of human undertakings.

The Petro-Chemical Poisons

The petroleum and chemical industries (as promoted by the Rockefellers) have combined in the 20th century to produce a vast array of very poisonous chemicals (especially the pesticide, herbicide and fertilizer poisons) which kill and destroy all kinds of life forms and indeed the planet itself.

The problem with petroleum poisons is far more involved than anyone could have imagined a hundred years ago as the automotive and petroleum industries began developing.  “Spotlight” of Apr 12, 1999, had a report on “Toxic Chemicals in Drinking Water” which offered some recent findings which are quite terrifying.

“Spotlight” noted that the gasoline industry started using the poisonous methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE, mentioned in the prior chapter) in the 1980s as an additive to gasoline to supposedly improve the quality of the emissions into the air.  MTBE is a deadly toxic carcinogen.

So the years passed.  Then, a startling discovery was made.  Cancer causing MTBE was polluting America’s drinking water across the nation.

Leakage of the chemical reportedly hit crisis levels in California, contaminating over 10,000 water sites--including wells, underground reservoirs, lakes and streams.  All 50 states now have MTBE water problems (with a crisis level in 22 states).  Clearly, the poison became a part of America’s drinking water.

Thus, after using MTBE for 20 years in a state of ignorance, the government ordered it withdrawn on March 20, 2000.

So while the industry and her government regulators came up with this MTBE poison (evidently, from the Rockefeller controlled petrochemical industry) to ostensibly decrease air pollution, water pollution was the result.  Which is more dangerous--breathing the poisoned air or drinking the poisoned water?

In any case, many Americans were poisoned and will die from it, simply because man does things in ignorance.  Man likes to jump in and do things--without having the foggiest notion of what his actions will have later upon life and the environment.

The Agra-Chemical Business

The petro-chemical agriculture business phenomenon developed since WWII all over the world.  Most farmers are hooked on it (and especially the giant multi-national corporations which own the bulk of the land and produce most of the agriculture products).

People are regularly told that these poisons are necessary in order to produce food.  Actually, before WWII, almost all farming was organic which can be and is done in limited ways even today.

But as in the noted above presentations, organic farming is labor intensive.  In the US, the government has passed so many tax, minimum wage and welfare schemes that it is extremely difficult to obtain and pay for workers (plus the fact that Americans generally won’t do any hard work at all, as elsewhere described herein).

Yet, chemical poisons are readily available at substantially lower costs which produce poisoned and nutritionally inferior products, but products which the ignorant, sun worship public will buy and pay for.  And money (profits) is the name of the game in the historic sun worship culture.

Danger

There was a day (for most all of the 5,950 years before WWII) when working in a garden or on a farm was an honorable, good undertaking.  A person would get exercise and clean air and stood to serve himself and/or others (by producing organic food products).

But those days have changed dramatically since WWII.  Now, working with farm products can be one of the most dangerous of occupations.

Even grocery stores and food markets which carry and sell agricultural plant foods are now aware of the risks for workers who must handle or work with farm products (which are routinely sold to the gullible, ignorant public).  These products are reeking with poisons.  Hence, smart food stores require that their workers use rubber gloves, rubber aprons and sometimes even half or full face masks to protect breathing, the eyes, etc.

Today, it is a very dangerous undertaking to handle, work with or sometimes to even be in contact with quantities of agricultural products--which once were totally and completely safe from all aspects.  But no longer!  The modern boom in chemistry and the petro-chemical industry has made food very dangerous to handle or be in contact with.  Yet, the public buys it and eats it.

This handling aspect of poisons brings up another fallout on this problem over pesticides.  Of the different agricultural products, pesticides are extremely common in growing cotton.  Almost all cotton is grown today with pesticide poisons to fight pests (in the old days, cotton plantations used Negro slaves and field hands to grow organic cotton, but all of this has changed).

Since it is a proven fact that plants absorb the poisons into plant fiber, stems, seeds, etc, one must stop and wonder about the propriety of using these chemical poisons on cotton which will be grown to provide cloth for humans/humanoids.

When so-called human beings wear the poisoned cotton cloth, is there any possibility that the previously used pesticides has contaminated the cotton in any way?  Will it affect the people who come into contact with it?  Will these cotton cloth items exert any adverse influence on the innocent humans who touch this stuff in any manner?  This writer is unsure of the answers here.  But the questions should be asked.

By Products

Beyond the chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides dispensed over American farm lands and crops, another interesting thing has happened in the last several years.  It seems that some big American corporations have come up with some byproducts or waste products from their manufacturing processes.

Their desire for profit and gain has prompted them to look for buyers.  The solution they chose was to sell them to farmers as fertilizers.  Now, vast quantities of toxic heavy metals and low level uranium waste products are being spread out across portions of America’s farm lands (“The Omega Times,” fall 1997, p. 11).

The Jan 28, 2002, “American Free Press” (p. 22) assessed the problem in a story by John Tiffany on “Startling New Book Reveals Toxic Waste in Our Foods.”  Per Tiffany, many of the so-called fertilizers now being used contain various poisons--like arsenic, cadmium, lead and beryllium.  These are industrial byproducts so toxic that it is illegal to dump them into the air or water.

But in the profit world of big business, they are not about to lose a chance to make some bucks.  These poisons are simply sold to farmers and the corporate agricultural world for use on our friendly potatoes and carrots.  Some of the poisons, like cadmium, are not poisonous to plants, but will harm animals and humans.  Of course, the plants absorb many of these poisons from the soil.

Tragically, however, some or many of these applications render the soil sterile.  Sometimes, the destruction process does not happen all at once.  But over time, these toxic wastes destroy the soil.  Washington state television reports have periodically mentioned the plight of farmers, who ignorantly used these items to destroy their productive good farms.

Actually, the 20th and early 21st centuries have seen several modern industries develop which have spelled absolute disaster to the human environment and have caused much of the degenerative diseases (like cancer) that adversely affect millions of people--such as the chemical, petroleum, nuclear, automotive and food industries.

In particular, chemicals used on the land eventually end up in the public’s food and water supplies.  But no one seems to exhibit much care.  So they continue to be used.

Rachel Carson

In 1962, Rachel Carson published “Silent Spring,” her famous book on pesticide poisonings and what was happening to America since these poisons were introduced in American agriculture in the post WWII environment.

She noted that whereas it had historically been desirable and interesting to put bird seeds out in the spring to feed the many, beautiful, American birds that had inhabited the North American continent for ages; all of this was to change one strange, odd, different spring.  As Rachel wrote it, one spring there were no birds.  Where had the birds gone?

The essence of her analysis was that man had killed all of the birds off with his irresponsible, careless, stupid and indiscriminate use of pesticide poisons to supposedly get rid of insects; so that food could be cheaply produced without facing the high cost of labor intensive organic gardening.

Frankly, it is extremely easy to observe and attest to what Rachel Carson had in mind.  This writer was born before WWII and was a boy living on a farm in 1940 and 1941, preceding the outbreak of the war.  School was two miles away and it was necessary to walk those two miles twice a day.

In those days, in rural Oklahoma, the skies had all kinds of marvelous birds.  But times were to change.  It started slowly with the end of the war and has continued ever since then--only getting worse and worse over time.

Slowly and methodically, the birds started vanishing--other than a few sparrows which have been a little more resilient to man’s poisons.  But over the years, even the sparrows may be in trouble.  The July 19, 2002, “The Week” (p. 6) had a news report from London that the once common house sparrow has disappeared from British cities and no one knows why.  The sparrow population is down by 99% since 1980.

Where have the birds been going?  The answer--man has been systematically, regularly and routinely killing them off since WWII.  With the loss of the birds, man loses one of the best methods of controlling bugs and insects.  Man then turns to more and more pesticide poisons.

Recent Times

While a massive slaughtering of birds is not usually seen and reported upon (since there often seems to be so few of them around any more), there was one terrible event in Oct 1999 when someone left some pesticide laced corn out in a field apparently in Central Illinois.  A large number of a particular breed of blackbirds (which was on the endangered species’ list) were to eat some of it over a period of days.

The result was a massive wipe out of 27,000 of them.  This huge number of birds would appear to be a rarity.  But they apparently had accumulated in the area from all over the country.  News reports suggested that someone had deliberately left the poisoned corn out, specifically to kill the birds.

A similar later event took place in Jan 2003 near the town of White, GA when someone left some pesticide laced corn out for birds in a rural area.  Up to 2,000 birds--hawks, doves, ducks, geese, etc--were slaughtered.  The insecticide was reportedly a product called Warbex (Jan 25, Spokane “Spokesman-Review,” p. A5).  The final idea on this is that if these pesticides will kill birds, they will kill humans.

Beyond the slaughter of birds and wildlife from pesticides and other poisons, there is another facet of this question which must be mentioned here.  “The Week” magazine of Nov 30, 2001-Dec 7, 2001 (p. 18), had a short news report on “Migratory birds may become casualties.”  The focus of this report was on the Bush war on terrorism in Afghanistan.

Per the story, more than 200 species of migratory birds--including the pelican, Arctic tern, Siberian crane, and shoveller duck--use Afghanistan as a rest stop on their 4,000-mile journeys from Russia and Central Asian countries to warm, wet India.  One of the fallouts of the attack on Afghanistan has been the massive remains of chemical by-products from the bombs dropped.

The Afghan wetlands have become heavily polluted from the remains of these chemical poisons.  Abra Abmed, senior program officer at the World Wide Fund for Nature India, says that the “chemical contents in the bombs could enter the food chain.”  These chemicals may affect the birds’ breeding cycles and get stored in their fat, making them incapable of migration.

Abmed noted that pesticides, in the past, have caused a thinning of egg shells and a decline in bird population.  “If one chemical could have such an impact,” per Abmed, “so many chemicals can certainly pose a problem.”

The Present Crisis

Today, when present in rural areas, birds are a comparatively rare sight.  A person may see one occasionally.  But that’s generally about it--one now and then and no real presence, as there once was before WWII.  This writer has visited various parks, national forests and wilderness areas and it’s not much better.

Slowly, the birds are disappearing just as the fish are disappearing (other than some presence of cat fish scavengers).  The difference seems to be that men like to catch fish.  So the government maintains pollution free fish hatcheries to grow small game fish to be released into the US waterways.  By producing and releasing these fish by the thousands, the waterways still have some fish.

The point of this dilemma is that pesticide and herbicide poisons are slowly bringing havoc and destruction to wildlife which used to be found profusely all over the North American continent.

No wonder so many informed people are expressing concern over what is happening in the great rain forests of South America, Africa and Asia.  We are killing everything possible all over the globe.  Daily, species are becoming extinct in significant numbers.  No one does anything about the loss--beyond just talking about it!

The Death in Long Island Sound?

Former comments discussed the situation in the New York City area where there was an outbreak of the deadly West Nile, encephalitis virus in the late summer of 1999.  Once established (perhaps brought into the area from Africa, where it is now found, or from Litton Industries, as was discussed in a preceding chapter), the virus was picked up and spread by birds and mosquitoes.

As discussed earlier, there has been some particular concern that with warm weather, the disease could head South and West to produce a real epidemic.  This possibility came true in 2000 and later as it did spread across America.

The NY crisis prompted a massive poisonous spraying effort in the fall of 1999 to try to kill off the mosquitoes and contain the disease (as noted earlier).  But this massive spraying effort seems to have produced some unplanned reactions in the context of life in the Long Island Sound area of the Atlantic Ocean.

Following the spraying in 1999, there was a massive kill of fish (over 100,000 dead fish turned up), lobsters (perhaps 1,000,000), sea urchins, crabs and other forms of water life (discussed on the “Art Bell Dreamland” program of Jan 23, 2000).  Most informed people readily connected the spraying to the slaughter of water life in the Sound area (due to the poisoned water run-off).

Naturally, the public officials in NY, who authorized the spraying, saw no connections between the poisonous sprays and the death in the Atlantic.  They refused to accept the link and continued to outline their plans to resume spraying once warm weather arrived in the spring of 2000.

It seems that man can never put two and two together in the sense of a cause and effect relationship.

Since the West Nile virus surfaced again in the summers of 2000-2003, the supposedly intelligent leaders in NY began more spraying campaigns in those years to fight the mosquitoes.  Who knows what will happen in this effort in the future.

True, the poisons may kill a few mosquitoes, but surviving mosquitoes will develop an immunity to the poisons and there will be another crisis in the waters.

The Railroads

The railroads are another good illustration of how stupid, irresponsible man has been over using chemical poisons.  Before the modern chemical and petro-chemical industries began proliferating their products throughout society in the 20th century, the railroads used to have to hire people to clear the brush, weeds and vegetation along the right-of-ways near their tracks.

But with the exploding chemical usage in the post WWII environment, the railroads substituted poisonous herbicides for human labor.  They began spraying the poisons along the railroad right-of-ways which solved the vegetation problem and made for more profits.

Many years ago (pre-WWII), people used to be able to walk along a railroad (when going from place to place) with little concern for safety beyond watching out for coming trains.  People had better not do that today!

Does anyone actually believe that the railroad owners and managers give any consideration at all to the use of these poisons and the fact that they will not only kill, poison and injure persons and animals which came into contact with them, but that they will run off with rainwater to pollute rivers, streams and the underground water table?  Of course not!

The railroad decision is made on the basis of profits.  And since the railroads are owned and/or controlled by the super rich fat cats in the collective society (as will be discussed in a future chapter), there is never any interference from the government, churches, preachers, doctors, lawyers, etc.

The sun worship culture and society have never questioned human greed or the chemical and petro-chemical businesses.

Beyond spraying herbicides (like the poisonous agent orange) along the railroad right-of-ways, it should be noted that years ago the railroads discovered that they could also treat their tracks with various chemical preservatives and poisons to repel insects, weeds and on and on which could damage the tracts.

When the railroad closes a line, they sell these poisonous tracks to unsuspecting people to handle and be in contact with for use as fence posts, etc.

The Christian Impact

The Christian sun worship public could have always said no on any or all of these poisons.  But it hasn’t worked out that way.  By all means, Christian sun worship preachers could have and should have been preaching some sermons and telling their dumb sheep some of the facts of life.  But they haven’t.

Christian sun worship preachers could have quoted any number of Tanakh texts to benefit their people, but they haven’t (because they are NT Christians and largely don’t know and/or don’t understand the OT).

As outlined in a former chapter, it is sin to sell or eat poisoned food (many Christians don’t understand this fact, but it is the truth).  A future chapter will assess this question in some detail.

Chapter 266--Polluted Carpets

Carpeting

In early 1997 (perhaps around Adar of the closing year), newscasts reported that recent studies had shown that some portion of carpets (apparently less than 50%) being sold in America were treated with chemical poisons for various and sundry reasons.

The surfacing reports noted that the chemicals used were deadly and could cause significant health problems to humans (particularly babies) in contact with the fibers, especially if breathed.

The problem gained some notoriety because the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington, DC had just spent a gob of federal money moving into a plush, new, office facility.  Its new quarters were furnished with thousands of dollars worth of these poisoned carpets.

Of course, this made news when the EPA decided to rip up this carpeting and replace it with some that had not been treated.  Quite naturally, this whole episode was quickly forgotten within days by the gullible American public and the whole issue became history.

After the initial outcries, the environmentalists and health advocates (alternative types since the AMA and approved medical profession never take a stand on anything that would oppose the status quo) were the only ones remembering the incident.

So the carpet manufacturers continued with whatever they were doing before the outburst (that is--continuing to put the poisons in many of the carpets).  Were sales hurt?  Not really.  It was a temporary blowup of a day or two and everything soon returned to normal (after all, the public has a very limited memory span).  Well, all of this is bad enough.  But there is still more to come.

More Carpeting Problems

A few months later (actually during the month of Siwan 1997), another interesting news report surfaced also addressing carpets.  It seems that some environmentalists and alternative health care specialists (again, minus the AMA and the approved medical profession) did some studies and discovered that the use of carpeting within homes and offices was a questionable procedure for another most interesting reason.

Manifestly, carpeting, in general, tends to collect a lot of dirt and dust.  Even the best of cleaning methods fall short of really restoring any carpeting to its original cleanliness.  So, once used, carpeting has picked up all kinds of things, including bacteria and germs (brought in by the dirt and dust in the air) that quickly find a home in it and start multiplying.

While it is probable that the chemically poisoned carpets are not as susceptible to these unfriendly bacteria, as are the untreated ones, the initial studies and reports made no distinction between the two kinds.  Once the bacteria becomes entrenched, it seems to be there to stay.  So, what is the problem with this bacteria in the carpeting?

Well, as the days pass, the dust and fibers in the carpeting inevitably work lose (from cleaning, walking upon or otherwise) and get into the air to be breathed by so-called human beings.

And too often, these bacteria and germs are of the unfriendly kind.  They cause respiratory and breathing problems to humans/humanoids.  Like asbestos fibers, many years may pass before the problems surface.  But the seeds have been sown for eventual trouble.

Pets

A pet talk show on radio during Teveth 1997 mentioned another unique twist to this problem.  It seems that much of the sun worship culture likes to have unclean pet cats and dogs in their houses (as discussed in a prior chapter).  These animals inevitably urinate, have bowel movements or merely wipe their bottoms on carpeting (which babies will later crawl upon).

The radio talk show mentioned that cats would urinate on the carpet, in preference to using a litter box.  If a sun worshipper’s carpet gets a dose of this stuff, along with the usual dirt, fibers and bacteria, it is quite evident that disease and sickness will be spread even more.  Of course, people living by the Scriptures would never have unclean animals even in their houses.

Why Have Carpeting?

Is there a solution otherwise?  Yes, why have carpeting in the first place?  Admittedly, such things are well accepted in the Western, sun worship culture.  But there certainly is no mention of them Scripturally, suggesting that they should be used.  Quite naturally, the makers and sellers of this stuff do it to make money and could care less about any adverse health effects to so-called human beings.

As far as consumers are concerned, their primary focus is on a product which supposedly makes their lives better and more enjoyable.  True, carpeting is much more fun to walk on than open exposed floors.

Consequently, these reports of eventual respiratory problems largely fall on deaf ears.  Almost no one cares.  Money (profits), pleasure, and enjoyment are the names of the games in the Western, Christian, sun worship culture.

What a tragedy it is that the Christian sun worship churches, preachers, teachers, scientists, doctors, lawyers, politicians and on and on are so incredibly devoted to greed, get, acquire, etc.  Why can’t they take a stand on important issues sometimes which are based on truth and justice?

Chapter 267--More Pollution Examples I

El Salvador

A terrible earthquake struck El Salvador in January 2001.  Thousands of persons were killed--not so much from the earthquake, but from mud slides which poured down some of the mountains to completely bury some villages.

The real background on this crisis was not so much the earthquake; but rather, man’s total disregard of nature and the environment over the years preceding the earthquake.  In the vein of progress and development, the big timber and lumber companies years ago came in and cut the trees off of the mountains (after all, profits, gain, get and acquire were the names of the game).

EL Salvador is like other areas in Central America with heavy rains in the fall and winter--which caused the bare, stripped mountains to be water soaked.  Without trees, it would not take much to really produce a problem.  Thus, the January 2001 earthquake provided the trigger to cause enormous mud slides that completely buried homes, people and villages in the nearby valleys.

A BBC news report on Jan 28, 2001, noted that the owners and profiteers of the big lumber companies have indicated how anxious they were to rebuild the destroyed houses in the mud covered valleys.

Yes, they made huge profits earlier by cutting the trees down from the mountains and now they will sell some of that timber (or other lumber cut from other mountains and areas) to the people (who have the money to pay for the building materials) or the government (in the form of welfare benefits which the taxpayers or international aid groups will pay for) to rebuild the houses.

This whole debacle seems incredible to even contemplate.  But it seems to be the real world.  Man stupidly goes in and destroys the ecology of an area (on the premise of profits and gain).  Then a giant crisis strikes (as caused, in part, by the men who exploited the environment).  The people who profiteered from the mess they caused come back to profit some more from the crisis (which they largely caused).

The Rat and Mouse Problem

Also, the year 2001 was the year of the snake in China.  The Chinese people responded by trying to catch and eat as many snakes as was possible in China (per a BBC report).  Snakes seem to be a common specie used in the diet of Chinese.  So the year of the snake was a genuine motivation for Chinese to eat snakes (along with their traditional dog, hog, duck and rice diets which they have long consumed).

In some areas of China, the Chinese people have pursued, captured, killed and eaten so many of the wild snakes that they have virtually destroyed their presence.  At least, one agricultural province now has an unprecedented catastrophe on its hands since the wild snake population has been decimated.

The just cited BBC report on Jan 28, 2001, added that the destruction of the snake population in this province has caused an absolute explosion in the rat and mouse populations; which, in turn, are feasting on the grain fields and destroying the crops.  Apparently, the Chinese leaders have not figured out what to do about the crisis.

In fact, is it conceivable that any of them will sit down and take at look at what caused the mess in the first place?  The basic cause is just not that complicated.  Nature has a certain balance.  The CREATOR made both rodents and snakes for a purpose.  But He made them in a precise balance to achieve that purpose.  When man stupidly upsets that balance, a crisis will inevitably result.

A Classic Illustration

World War II and its after effects opened up much of Asia and the Pacific Islands to the West in ways never conceived of before the war.

In particular, the fat cats owning and controlling many of the large petro-chemical corporations (like the Rockefellers, DuPonts and others) decided  that they wanted to introduce chemical pesticides and more new poisons not only in the West, but also to export them all over the world (for obvious profit purposes).

So--many liberals, do-gooders, scientists and government officials (who were quite willing to consciously or unconsciously support the fat cats in their profit goals) visited a number of Pacific Islands where the inhabitants had lived essentially in grass skirts and grass huts for at least one or two thousand years (with little concern about pollution and the environment since everything was ecologically balanced in their primitive situations).

Some of these visitors came to a small island in the Dutch East Indies which had a beautiful little cove providing excellent fishing grounds to feed the local indigenous population.  The primitive peoples had lived there in harmony and happiness with their environment for centuries, never understanding that things could be or should be different.

Discovering some mosquitoes on the island (and which had been there naturally for the last several thousand years), the liberal humanitarians decided that the solution was to massively spray the cove and other fresh water sources with the latest pesticides to get rid of the mosquitoes.

Of course, there was also the benefit of selling pesticides to these grass skirted natives so that “international” trade and commerce could be advanced.  The natives could get into the game by exporting and selling some copra and fruits and vegetables to the big population centers needing food.  This trade off put all kinds of new profits into the pockets of the super rich internationalists.

Man’s IQ

Thus, with this great human ingenuity and intelligence, DDT and other poisons were spread around to supposedly improve the lives of the island’s inhabitants in the Dutch East Indies (under discussion).  Initially, the spraying seemed to pay off with the death and sickness of much of the mosquito population.

Quite naturally, fish ate the sick and dying mosquitoes which had been their primary diet for the last 6,000 years.  But the toxic poisons consumed by the fish were not sufficient to immediately kill all of them.

It just made many of them sick, although they would have ultimately died by continuing to eat the poisoned mosquitoes.  However, the initial consumption did make the fish quite toxic, though they had not yet all died.

The problem was compounded because there was a hawk-like predator bird which flew around preying on the fish for food.  When these birds ate the sick fish, they were poisoned at once with a deadly dose.

The predator birds were quickly wiped out.  This was too bad for the ecology of the island since these birds also preyed on the local rodent population--actually keeping their growth restrained.  With the death of the birds, the rat and mice population exploded.  Soon the island was over-run by rodents as there was no longer a predator to naturally keep them in check.

Meantime, some of the mosquitoes survived in the cove and other fresh water locations.  But the mosquito survivors had underwent a mutation of sorts which made them immune to the pesticides being used.  The now immune, surviving mosquitoes began increasing rapidly with the loss of the fish from the pollution of the cove.

Consequently, things went from bad to worse for the people living on the island.  They still had the mosquitoes, plus a rodent explosion.  Environmental pollution destroyed their previously satisfactory and sustaining lives.  This is a true story which received some media coverage years ago just after the event took place.

The Latest

By the way, the latest man-made scheme to fight mosquitoes in 2002 was to invent some genetically engineered mosquitoes that would theoretically be useful in the fight against malaria (Jun 3, 2002, U. S. News & World Report,” p. 61).  Possibly, the plan is to genetically change the mosquito in some manner to not allow it to follow its normal methodology of existing.

As discussed in earlier chapters broaching this question of genetically altered life forms, the whole subject is too stupid to be discussed.  Yet, it is on the drawing boards and could become reality in seven to ten years.  For sure, man will end up upsetting nature in some manner and causing enormous unforeseen problems and crises.

Another Sample of Man’s IQ

Back in the 1970s, “US News & World Report” quoted a report by Dr Lamont C. Cole of Cornell University.  It seems that the World Health Organization sent DDT to Borneo to kill mosquitoes.  But it wouldn’t kill area roaches (which accumulated DDT in their bodies).  Lizards living in the nearby huts fed on the roaches and became sick and slowed from the poisons.  Cats then could easily catch and eat the slowed lizards.

The cats died from the huge dose of poisons that they were consuming from the lizards.  With the cats gone, the rats proliferated and the threat of a plague developed.  With the lizards gone, caterpillars multiplied in the huts, where they fed on the roof thatching.  Then the roofs started caving in, creating real problems for the innocent people duped into this whole stupid exercise.

In addition to the sale of chemical pesticides for “alleged” mosquito control, the petro-chemical producers (DuPont, Dow, Monsanto, etc) decided to get the people of islands all over the Pacific to use pesticides to protect their few banana and other fruit plants--which many of them grew in their yards for food consumption.  Of course, this initially looked like a good thing--to be getting rid of the few troubling bugs.

Since the islands’ inhabitants had lived on these lands for a thousand years or so, they had learned how to deal with the banana bugs and survive.  Their ancestors had been raising bananas, papaya, breadfruit, etc (organically) without any particular problems.  Yet, the modern peoples succumbed to the advertising blitz of the chemical companies.

However, in the flagrant uses of these chemical pesticides, the rivers, streams, springs, lakes, etc (containing fresh drinking water) were quickly poisoned.  People had been drinking from these sources historically without any health or adverse problems at all.

Now, with chemical poisons abounding, pure drinking water was no longer naturally available.  This was no big deal--because modern technology and multi-national corporations were available to sell the islanders well drilling equipment and modern plumbing technology (with chlorine poison) to drill into the island masses and find fresh water.

The Sewage Problem

Whereas the grass skirted people historically had to obey the Scriptures in terms of human elimination (to be discussed at length in later sections), they all of a sudden had indoor plumbing with all of its conveniences.  But indoor plumbing requires a sewage system.

Sewage systems and particularly those that “treat” the wastes cost money.  And most of these islanders were and are in no mood to spend money on non-essentials.  A sewage treatment system is an item that most of them can do without.

So, how do they dispose of this untreated sewage?  Yes, they dump it into the ocean.  Thousands of people all over the Pacific in Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia have been dumping raw sewage with its teeming bacteria into the ocean for years now since WWII.  This writer has been on many of these islands and has seen this practice.

Of course, these sewage dumps are a threat to human health.  So signs are put up around the outlets warning people not to eat any fish caught there or swim there.  Tragically, this raw sewage kills most fish and the coral reefs in time.

But all fish do not immediately die.  Many may be caught before they die.  Too, some of them may swim off into cleaner waters and be caught later, causing additional problems when consumed.

Coral Reefs

The problem with coral reefs is severe all over the world.  The March 11, 2002, “Jerusalem Report” (p. 24) had a story by Netty C. Gross on “The Killing of the Coral” about the Eilat area of the Red Sea in South Asia.  In this historic area, only some 30% of the coral is still left alive.  The rest is dead.

Gross outlined the problems as--Global warming; an old Dead Sea Works phosphates packing plant, located on the Gulf, churns out chemical dust that settles on the reefs; the dumping of raw sewage into the Gulf by the City of Eilat until recently; and many threats from the tourism industry--like the fuel and waste products dumped into the Sea by boats moored at Eilat; the massive, high-rise hotels on the shoreline block desert winds essential to the ecosystem; glass-bottomed tour boats traveling too close to the reefs damage them; and so forth.

A 1999 University of GA study noted that 10% of the world’s corals are now gone and 20-30% are at risk.  A news report on Dec 11, 2000, mentioned a more recent 2000 study which said that 27% of the world’s coral reefs are now destroyed.  Obviously, the losses are accelerating (couple this with the disappearance of frogs and the future looks bad).

Along the Florida coasts, there has been a 446% increase in disease at 160 coral sites since 1996 (Mar 1999 “America’s Promise Newsletter,” p. 8).  One reef had a 62% death rate.  The whole Florida Keys is now a dead zone.

Septic Tanks

The FL problem is primarily from septic tanks which are breeding pathogens (viruses, bacteria and fungi), new to science.  Within 24 hours of flushing a toilet into a septic tank in Florida, the human created pathogens reach the ocean.  One recent study said that 25% of the people using marine beaches in Florida developed ear infections, sore throats and eyes, and respiratory or gastrointestinal disease.

More serious viruses detected in coastal waters are linked to diabetes, meningitis and hepatitis (Mar 1999 “America’s Promise Newsletter,” p. 8).  Obviously, if septic tank wastes in Florida reach underground water flows to move on to the ocean, is it not evident that septic tanks present a problem wherever they are located?

All over the world (especially North America), there are any number of beautiful lakes and streams.  It is very common to find houses adjacent to these bodies of water.  In urban areas, the normal urban pollution flows to these lakes and streams.  In rural areas, most people are now using septic tanks.

Assuredly, the discharges from these septic tanks eventually reach the underground water table or run off to the nearby lakes and streams.  In either case, the people flushing the poisons and waste products into their toilets, eventually end up drinking the water containing those poisons (even after using chlorine poisons to kill the sewage bacteria).  Obviously, this whole exercise is totally stupid!

More From Florida

A few years ago, there was a massive red tide which inundated parts of the Florida coast.  Later, in early 2002, a black blob hit much of the waters off of the Florida Bay (North of the Keys and up the coast).  In February 2002, the blob covered some 700 square miles (Apr 12, 2002, “The Week,” p. 18).  No one knows for sure what it is and what it is doing to the area.

There is a theory that it is some kind of a plankton that is absorbing oxygen from the water.  Marine life that can swim away have left the area.  Presumably, other forms of marine life will be killed by the mass.  Whether this current problem is related to the septic tank discharges or something else was not clear.

Garbage and Medical Wastes

A news report on Sep 16, 1999, noted that the beautiful beach at Huntington Beach, California was closed because some 1,500 (used) medical syringes/needles washed ashore.  Actually, it seems common place that many hospitals and medical facilities dump their medical waste products into the great oceans.

Just a few years ago, beaches in New Jersey had a significant outbreak of medical wastes (needles, syringes, gauze, swabs, etc) being washed ashore, along New Jersey’s coast.  At the time, there was an enormous outcry because it was obvious that hospitals and heath care operators were dumping their very dangerous and infectious waste products into the nearby ocean.

It is also true that some cities and municipalities dump their garbage and wastes (particularly chemical wastes and poisons) into the oceans.  This isn’t as common today, as it has been in the past.  But it still happens (just as ships and boats at sea dump their garbage and waste products into the oceans).

Several years ago, New York or one of her nearby sister cities loaded up a whole train of garbage to supposedly send West to be dumped at whatever land fill that could be found.  It was too bad, but none of the Western states wanted this garbage.  Quickly, the smelling and stinking train became unpopular as it traveled across the railways.

Finally, the train went back East where the responsible people silently and secretly dumped the train load of garbage into the Atlantic Ocean.  Actually, this problem in locating a Western landfill was rare because many, many large cites (especially in the East) send their garbage and waste products to the South or West for final disposal.

The way this motion is carried out is both significant and sickening.  Big trucks haul vegetables and food products into the large Northeastern cities.  The trucking companies don’t want their trucks to head back South or West empty (because of the profit motive).

Often, large trucks will load up with a load of garbage coming back.  After dumping the garbage, the trucks can load up again with vegetables to go back East.  It appears that the American, sun worshipping public doesn’t have any problem with their food being transported in the same trucks that transport garbage and poisoned wastes.

Trash in General

A former chapter briefly mentioned the problem of land pollution in the context of the depositing of very poisonous chemicals upon the land, which eventually seep into the underground water systems to pollute and damage them.

However, beyond the poisonous chemicals, which are either in a liquid state or become that way with rain (to seep into the underground water table), there is the overall problem of trash in general which never decomposes or seeps to lower levels.

One of the supposedly good features of modern man has become also one of the most horrible and terrible realities of modern times.

This paradox arises because of the modern invention and use of plastics which create an ecological crisis (simply because this stuff will not decompose).  Increasingly, these man-made pollutants are not only filling up land fills, but they are appearing all over land areas to besmirch and defile them as well.

More Pollution of the Oceans

Of course, many items of plastic find their way into the oceans where they sometimes fill up with water and sink to the bottom (to rest without decomposition).  Often, fish and porpoises get entrapped in them or other man made waste products to die.

There seems to be no end to man’s incredible production of trash which either will not decompose or will require a long time span for decomposition.  Much of this stuff is thrown along the highways and roads or wherever man dwells.  With taxpayer funds and some interest in beautification, some of the trash along roadways is collected; but ultimately, it is taken to a land fill or otherwise disposed of.

However, the great oceans remain the disposal site of choice.  Not only are they convenient to many Eastern, Western and Southern cities, but once something is thrown overboard, no one normally finds out about it (unless some of the wastes wash ashore later on).

It must be remembered that the profit motive is far more persuasive and pressing than any question over the future of the oceans.  Money is always the name of the game in the Western, Christian, sun worship civilization.

The Housing Ship

Among other reasons on why the profit motive completely dominates all aspects of pollution, another tragic condition is on the drawing boards for the oceans.  A group of investors have gotten together and are in the process of building a floating city in the form of a giant ship which will traverse the world’s oceans (Jan 18, 2002, “The Week,” p. 18).

This city will house 17,000 people on a reasonably permanent basis as they float around the world, visiting different ports and sites.  Of course, their wastes will generally be thrown overboard to pollute the water wherever they travel.  Ocean-view apartments will sell for $40 million and small studios will be available at $130,000.

Besides housing, the ship will offer all kinds of goods, services and entertainment, much like one would find in a typical large US city.  This ship under construction will be as large as four aircraft carriers.  It is called “Freedom ship” and will be launched in 2006.

If this housing project sounds like gross madness and insanity, it is (but it will make a lot of money for investors, which is the name of the game and which is vastly more important to society than whether the oceans are destroyed or not).

One more remark is needed on this matter of dumping raw sewage and waste products into the oceans.  Actually, this practice is widespread globally.  While some cities and nations do treat their sewage before dumping it, many do not.  This is true off of the coasts of the United States and Europe, as well as in undeveloped countries.

Ocean Dead Areas

Many of the immediate off shore waters around these dump sites are becoming extremely polluted.  In fact, some off shore waters are so polluted that they are literally “dying,” as described earlier in Florida.

Add to this the historic and continuing problem, noted above, of the practice of ships and vessels at sea to dump their sewage and garbage into the waters, one can see that real problems are on the horizon.  In many ways, the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean have become extremely polluted since WWII.

The Art Bell Coast to Coast AM radio talk show program of Aug 4, 1999, had several news reports which were most terrifying.  In the first instance, scientists have discovered some fifteen “dead zones” or dead areas in the oceans and over 50 such dead zones in coastal waters.

A later report on the Art Bell Dreamland program on Mar 5, 2000, said that scientists had now identified some 58 dead zones in ocean waters, caused by sewage and fertilizer run off.  One single dead zone in the Baltic sea covers an area of 38,000 square miles.

More

The Oct 18, 1999, “Newsweek” (p. 60) had an article by Peter Annin on “Down in the Dead Zone” which reported upon what has been happening to the Gulf of Mexico.  Some 7,728 square miles (an area the size of New Jersey) is dead along the US’s Mississippi Delta coast (evidently, in different dead zone locations where rivers empty into the Gulf).

A news report on January 23, 2002, said that a dead zone area the size of the state of Massachusetts is now directly at the mouth of the Mississippi in Louisiana.

Fish that can swim away from these dead zones have done so in the last several years.  However, shellfish, clams, snails, worms, and so forth have all died since they could not get away fast enough.  Annin explains the problem as being the farmlands in the Midwestern US which use chemical, nitrogen fertilizers that run off to the Mississippi and the Gulf.

This nitrogen causes enormous algae blooms in the ocean; which, in turn, sinks and begins decaying as it dies.  It then steals oxygen from the water to choke off the entire marine ecosystem.  In time, the ocean becomes a lifeless, dead zone.  This is what has been happening over most of the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

Next, news reports in early July 2000 indicated that a foreign algae or water fungus was introduced into the Mediterranean Sea around Monaco and the South of France.  This stuff started growing, expanding, choking the oxygen off, and naturally, killing fish.  Some scientists are now concerned because they don’t know what to do to stop it.

Chapter 268--More Pollution Examples II

More Water Problems

The Art Bell Coast to Coast AM radio talk show program on Oct 21, 1999, had Linda Howe on with Art discussing environmental problems.  Linda mentioned that some one million lobsters have been killed recently in the Long Island Sound (mentioned earlier).  Also giant squibs have been turning up dead in fishermen’s nets.  At the moment, no one has any explanation on the “why” for either of these massive deaths.

Linda was also on the Dreamland program on July 9, 2000, to talk about the pollution and algae problems in the famous Neuse River of North Carolina.  The algae is growing rapidly in much of the river because of the extreme warm temperatures in the recent winters.  It is choking off oxygen.  And fish by the thousands are developing lesions and large sores before finally dying.

With the drought now in progress in parts of North America, American rivers and streams will start to die, as well, as man continues to recklessly pollute them without the benefit of rainwater to carry the pollutants off.  Soon, it would appear that America’s polluted waterways will spell an even bigger disaster because of the present and/or coming droughts.  The smells alone will be awful for man to bear.

Guatemala

The Jan 9, 2003, Spokane “Spokesman-Review” (p. A2) had a terrible story about how incredibly damaging hydroelectric dams can be to fish.  The essence of this report was that a hydroelectric dam on the Montague River in Guatemala released contaminated water (after cleaning the dam) which killed thousands of fish in the Vacas River, a tributary of the Montague.

Apparently, when the dam operators “clean” the dam there is a release of contaminated water.  Evidently, this same thing happened in February 2002 when the dams along the river were cleaned.

North Carolina, Revisited

There is still another aspect of the dam problem.  In 1776, this writer’s great, great, great grandfather received a North Carolina state grant of land on the South side of the Catawba River at the Lovelady Ford area of Burke County, just at the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains.  It’s not hard to imagine how utterly marvelous and wonderful this land appeared in 1776.

The country was spectacular, and especially when beholding the compelling Blue Ridge Mountains to the West.  But things were to change--not all at once, but slowly and particularly in the 20th century when more and more terrifying poisons have been developed and more and more plastics have come into use.

The problem started when Duke Power Company came in and bought up the land along the river and built a dam across it and created Lake Rhodhiss.  Water is now backed upon much of my grandfather’s former land.

Manifestly, the creation of the lake was heralded as a great bonanza for fishing and boating.   The small city of Hickory, NC is not far away.  So many people there come out to the lake to enjoy the water and so-called water sports.

However, things have also changed for the worse.  This writer has visited this area many times in the last 40 years.  These visits have included walks around the lake and observations about the area.  Tragically, things have changed.

One of the most notable and obvious changes is the incredible amount of trash and garbage which can be found in some land areas near the waters’ edge.  It seems that fishermen like to come out and spend some time camping and fishing from the shorelines.  Some of them can be awful trashy and polluting.  They simply throw their trash on the ground wherever they may be situated.

Apparently, Duke Power and the state fishing authorities have been unable to do anything about it and probably aren’t much concerned with doing anything.  After all, it would take money to enforce laws--if any are indeed on the books which could be enforced.

People using boats can also be awful polluting.  They sometimes merely throw their trash overboard where it eventually washes to the nearby shoreline to pollute it.

Oh how sickening it is to walk around this once so beautiful and spectacular area.  It pains me greatly to see The MOST HIGH’s marvelous and wonderful creation befouled and besmeared as it is.

The Wilderness Road

The early White settlements in Virginia were somewhat blocked off from Virginia’s Western area of Kentucky by the formidable Cumberland Mountains in Western Virginia.  Then, in 1750, an explorer named Dr Thomas Walker discovered Cumberland Gap through the mountains and the historic Indian trail which went through it.

Though Walker got credit for the discovery, it appears that the Cumberland Gap was well known earlier by White hunters.

In the late 1760s, a settlement sprang up in Western Virginia on this Indian trail (which came to be called the Wilderness Road)--near modern Rose Hill in Lee County.  This first station was near the headwaters of a large Western flowing creek called Indian Creek (which eventually flows into the Powell River to the Southwest).

The precise location of this station is uncertain.  But a spring in the valley was the beginning of the creek.  In view of the need for water, it is a certainty that the settlement was either right adjacent to the spring or nearby so that the people could get water from it.

The famous explorer Daniel Boone came from the Yadkin Valley of North Carolina, Northwest over the Wilderness Road past the station in the late 1760s and several times in the 1770s (after the site was eventually abandoned), before finally establishing his own settlement at Boonesborough in Central Kentucky.  It is a certainty that Boone (like others--both Indians and Whites) drank from the spring.

Today, the spring is a polluted cesspool--stinking, dirty, poisoned and pathetic to look at and behold.  What happened to this once great source of pure, clean water?  Well, about two hundred yards away and on a ridge overlooking the valley, one finds several houses which use septic tanks.

There is no doubt about it whatsoever.  These nearby septic tanks have completely polluted this spring.  Its use for drinking purposes has been destroyed in just a matter of days, once the septic tanks were installed.

The Oregon Trail

One of the problems moving West to Oregon over the famous Oregon Trail was the need for clean water.  Starting in 1846, when the first wagon trains came West, the settlers found this needed water--either in rivers and streams or in springs.

As the number of travelers over the Oregon Trail increased dramatically into the thousands from 1849 on (with the discovery of gold in California), many of these water sources became polluted because the travelers were extremely irresponsible and careless about sanitation involving both human and animal wastes.  Consequently, cholera began to appear in the 1850s, due to bad (polluted) water.

In any case, there is one of these immigrant or emigrant springs in the Boise River Valley in Western Idaho, near the modern town of Parma.  This spring is appropriately marked as an Emigrant Spring on the Oregon Trail.

Today, like the spring in Western Virginia, this one near Parma is totally polluted.  It stinks and is full of sewage and poisons.  Another nearby sign warns visitors--Do not drink the water because it is poisonous.

Well, just as there were the beginning signs of pollution and the destruction of water resources in the 1850s, things have only accelerated for the bad since then.  Today, this immigrant spring in Idaho is fed by underground water from a ridge to the North where there are several houses with septic tanks.

Once man builds and uses septic tanks, it isn’t long before the underground water flowing nearest the surface becomes polluted.  Obviously, this pollution is carried off to the first spring outlets.  Of course, the pollution seepage is so great that over time, the septic tank discharges will reach even deeper into underground water sources.

It’s incredible that man is so anxious to destroy his own drinking water.  While man generally lacks the capability to remove all of the inorganic poisons that are dumped into the septic tanks (from cleaners, plumber helpers, etc), he is able to dilute the bacteria infected water with the poison chlorine to at least drink it and avoid dying immediately (although his life span is shortened later with the inorganic poisons).

Both Whites and Indians Pollute

In the above discussion on the pristine beauty of early North Carolina, Virginia and Idaho, before the White man came to pollute and defile those areas, there is a need to offer some remarks on the situation with the American Indians.  Of course, almost all modern Americans are obsessed with the theory that the Indians were some kind of righteous environmentalists while the White eyes were evil polluters.

And though there is some truth in this thinking, the issue is far more complex.  There is no argument that the White man was far the worst polluter and that the Indians could never begin to equal the Caucasians’ destruction of nature.  In the vein of creative White minds to develop and perpetuate polluting factories and technology, the White man has led the way in pollution.

But this is not to say that the Indians also weren’t polluters.  They were.  The difference is only in degrees.  The Indians too could and would pollute and especially if they would have had the technology and means to carelessly pollute, as was true with the White man.

The Indians were notorious about setting fires in the plains and forests to either kill game or push the game in a desired direction where the Indians could kill it.  Too, the Indians had a nasty habit of throwing dead animals or animal parts into the water holes of enemies in order to defile the water so that their enemies could not drink it.  Thus, the Indians were not lily-white on the subject of pollution.  They too were bad.

Natural Crude Oil

Many products that are not particularly damaging in their natural states become deadly toxic poisons once man takes them and processes and refines them into something else.  For example, natural crude oil is not necessarily a disaster to the environment (as an informed acquaintance once told me).  When spilled on the land or water ways, the ecology seems to recover quite rapidly with no major remaining problems.

But the dilemma with natural crude oil arises when man transports it to a refinery and processes (changes) it into thousands of other products, many of which become very toxic and deadly to the environment and all forms of life that ingest them.  Take refined gasoline.  It is a terrible poison to any form of life coming into contact with it.

Gasoline fumes kill and people that work around them (at gas stations) are far more prone to come down with sickness.  Burn gasoline and the resulting carbon monoxide and other released chemicals pollute the environment and kill.  Gasoline fumes are deadly.

The Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos archipelago consists of thirteen larger islands and several smaller ones in the Pacific Ocean, off of the coast of Ecuador (which claims national sovereignty over them).  In 1835, evolutionist Charles Darwin (mentioned in a prior chapter) and his colleagues visited the Galapagos Islands.

Darwin found a marvelous array of natural plants and wildlife which had been largely by-passed by man.  The work Darwin did while visiting formed much of the material he would later cite and use in his “The Origins of the Species,” discussed earlier.

In any case, the islands have remained desolate and largely uninhabited over the years.  There have been a few scientists and naturalists living there, off and on, to study nature.  But otherwise, the “progress” of civilization has by-passed the islands.  The government of Ecuador has helped to protect the islands because they have represented a source of foreign exchange in the context of visitors.

This was the background when a large ocean tanker ran aground in the nearby waters of the Galapagos Islands in January 2001 and began spilling huge quantities of refined diesel fuel and other petroleum products.  These refined products (as changed by man) are considerably different than raw crude (which would have been bad enough).  Obviously, the pollution would be and was extremely damaging.

Quickly, the nation of Ecuador responded by calling it a natural disaster on the level of an earthquake.  Numerous environmental groups rushed in to try to stem the tide of pollution.  However, the petroleum spill was so great that much damage resulted soon before any thing positive could be done.

Many animals, fish, birds and other forms of wildlife were soon seriously hurt and/or killed outright.  Truly, this tragedy has been one of the most terrible blows to nature in our time.  The point of it is that as long as man pursues his quest for profits, gain and comforts, things like this can and will happen.

Actually, ocean oil spills are not rare at all.  Instead, they seem to be fairly common.  As late as Mar 20, 2001, a Brazilian, state-owned, oil rig collapsed into the Atlantic Ocean, some 85 miles off shore.  This event was bad enough, but the rig went down with 400,000 barrels of oil and diesel.  Obviously, another environmental crisis erupted.

Palestine

In 1975, this writer was privileged to visit the wonderful promise land of Canaan, Yisrael or Palestine, however it is to be defined.  One day, while standing on the shores of the beautiful and alluring Mediterranean Sea, near Joppa, it was sickening to see what all had and was washing ashore with regularity.

There was the trash problem in general (because boats and ships at sea toss their trash and garbage overboard).  But there was something else which was as equally as sickening and distressing.

Crude or refined oil products also get dumped in the sea.  Sometimes, ships go down and their oil cargo is lost (as pointed out above).  And sometimes, oil is otherwise discharged into the world’s seas and oceans.  This stuff forms small balls of partially solidified petroleum, much of which eventually wash to the shores.

In Israel, along the Mediterranean, some beach areas are simply covered with these pathetic balls of pollution.  They are sickening and disgusting to have to behold.  When one beholds this tragic and awful pollution of something which THE HIGHEST made both beautiful and good, it is indeed a very sad experience.

Iyov wrote about the creation (Job 38:4-7).  He used words which described it as spectacular and awesome.  Why is it or how is that dirty, little, demented, evil, wicked, sorry men have chosen a path of disregard and contempt for His creation?  Yet, this is the reality of the last 6,000 years.  This writer is not a tree hugger.  But there are profound issues involved in this subject (to be later assessed).

The Ocean Conservancy

The Ocean Conservancy, an environmental group, issued a report in early July 2002 on the “Health of the Oceans” (Jul 9, 2002, “Spokesman-Review,” p. 1, 5).  This report said that 45% of US estuaries are unfit for activities such as swimming and fishing, coral reefs are being lost at an alarming rate, and numerous species of marine mammals, sea turtles and sea birds are in danger of extinction.

The Conservancy group added that many species of fish and marine life have been reduced to near extinction, that only 300 North Atlantic right whales are now known to exist, and that all six species of sea turtles found in US waters are threatened or endangered.  The problems are being caused by pollution and over-fishing.

The giant oceans not only produce up to 70% of the world’s supply of oxygen, but they are the very instruments which allow for the sustainment of human life on this planet.  And so-called human beings are quickly turning them into polluted cesspools.  When the oceans go, man had better watch out.  Human life will not continue on this globe.

More on Specie Extinctions

The Art Bell Coast to Coast AM news reports of Aug 4, 1999, also covered a couple of other items equally terrifying.

The program noted that at man’s current level of activity and irresponsibility (which is not likely to end under man’s government), most of the world’s giant rain forests will be gone by 2050 CE (since man is busy destroying them to allow so-called economic development).

With the destruction and end of the great rain forests, man will achieve the distinction of having destroyed some 95% of all of the life forms (of birds, animals, insects and plants) on earth by the mid 21st century.  This extinction of life will be comparable to the supposed catastrophic destruction of the giant dinosaurs of many ages ago.

As cited earlier, the May 10, 2002, “The Week” (p. 14) noted that some 25 million species have already disappeared from earth.  Scientists now estimate that some 31 million different species were on earth historically.  The latest estimates are that there are only four to six million left.  Obviously, many more will disappear over the next several years with the loss of the giant rain forests.

Chapter 269--Air Pollution

Air Pollution

One of the backbones of the modern human culture is the burning of fossil fuels in the context of gasoline combustion engines and coal burning power plants, as well as industrial factories and other modern activities and conveniences (in general, things which emit various and sundry kinds of poisons into the atmosphere).

Many American cities have now gained reputations for their excessive smog which completely casts a sickening and poisonous haze across them.  For years, Los Angeles has had a reputation for being the smog capital of the US.  But the problem extends to other cities as well.

The “US News & World Report,” of Oct 25, 1999 (p. 28), had an article on “Houston, you’ve got a problem” which detailed what has been happening to numerous Texas cities and towns since so many petrochemical plants have started operating there.  Houston, of course, is one of the most notorious smog cities; and one seriously competing with Los Angeles for honors of being the worst.

The article asserts that Texas is now number 1 in America for carcinogens in the air and number 1 in America for toxic releases into the air, into the water and into the soil.  This pollution costs the state of Texas billions of dollars, thousands of sick days and hundreds of premature deaths.  It has been a tragedy and not a blessing, as many wish to believe.

These polluting plants and things are not necessities because Adam got along without them quite well for about 5,900 years.  Yes, even the modern factories, which are pumping tons of pollutants into the air, are not actual necessities though the people profiting from them have educated the public to so believe.

Second Hand Air Pollution

Along the same line of thought on secondhand tobacco smoke, discussed in a former chapter, automobiles, trucks, buses, trains and other items of equipment and factories are much like cigarettes in terms of hurting, injuring and killing people.  They emit vast sums of carbon monoxide and various other fumes, smokes, poisons, and air pollutants.

A recent study from Carnegie Mellon University said that almost 700,000 people die annually from polluted air caused by burning fossil fuels (gasoline and coal) which emit huge quantities of carbon dioxide and other so-called greenhouse gases (Aug 31, 2001, “The Week,” p. 19).  The study said another 65,000 come down with chronic bronchitis annually, along with a loss of 37 million days of work time in urban areas.

Another story in the March 8, 2002, “The Week” (p. 4) had an even more alarming report.  It quoted a finding in the “Journal of the American Medical Association” that air pollution may kill as many people as secondhand cigarette smoke.  People in large cities are 16 percent more likely to die from lung cancer than residents of cleaner towns.  Air pollution also promotes heart disease in humans.

A later study from Stanford University, reported in the Nov 12, 2002, Spokane “Spokesman-Review” (p. A10) in a story on “Study:  Pollution has impact on seniors’ health,” acknowledged the positive link between air pollution and early deaths and added some information on the pollution impact on medical care.

The focus of this work was on air pollution data provided from the Environmental Protection Agency on 183 metropolitan areas with 100,000 people.  This Stanford study noted that hospital admissions for respiratory problems were, on average, 19% higher in some 37 areas with higher air pollution as compared with the 37 areas with the least amount of pollution.

The essence of these reports and studies is that many of the air polluting sources not only are killing trees, vegetation, lakes and waterways (primarily from acid rain, which will shortly be assessed), but they are now acknowledged to be killers of people.

An AP report on "Emissions Battle Line Drawn" of Nov 26, 1991, said: “There's no dispute that toxic and smog-causing fumes spew out of automobile tanks with every fill-up.  But there's no agreement on how to control them.”  In terms of air pollution, this question is even more pungent when addressing the streams of pollution being emitted from aircraft now crowding the skies in many areas.

The Surgeon General, Revisited

Question--if the US Surgeon General is so concerned over carbon monoxide poisoning of Americans from cigarette smoke, as suggested in a former chapter, why then hasn't his office looked into the matter of people having to breathe carbon monoxide from automobiles and other gasoline combustion engines?

Why shouldn't gasoline service stations and automobiles be forced to display a sign to warn innocent people of the resulting carbon monoxide poisoning?

Of course, it is conceivable that the Surgeon General and the "medical" establishment are as stupid and uninformed as is the general public on the dangers of gasoline, diesel and similarly powered engines.  Or perhaps, they are just too much afraid to take on the big oil companies and the Rockefeller clan over an issue such as this.

After all, the Christian Amalekite Rockefellers do carry a big stick in American politics (maybe not as big as they used to carry before the Rothschilds and other powerful Amalekite Jews took over in the last forty years, but still big and powerful).  As is true with most polluting and dangerous products, large multi-national corporations make and sell this stuff for profit to the gullible public.

On this reality, it is also fascinating that the Rockefellers and other super rich plutocrats (whom will be addressed in later chapters) are themselves supposedly environmentalists and concerned about people, despite owning and/or controlling these same, large, multi-national corporations and establishing their polluting and murdering policies. This paradox will likewise be assessed in subsequent chapters.

And if one thinks that automobile emitted carbon monoxide is so harmless, why is it that would be suicide candidates so frequently try running an automobile engine in a closed compartment or garage and breath the fumes?  Soon, the would be suicide is a real suicide.  Truly, the fumes are killers.  This stuff is serious business.

Exercising

Many Americans like to occasionally obtain some exercise by walking or jogging.  And where, in most American communities, can one walk or jog, except near a roadway traveled heavily by cars and trucks?

Can you imagine what all happens to the human lungs as all of the vehicular carbon monoxide and poisons are thrust into the air to be breathed by people traveling a roadway--either on foot or even riding in another vehicle?  Tragically, it is almost out of the question to try to avoid "all" carbon monoxide poisoning since cars, trucks, buses and so forth are almost everywhere one may go all over planet earth.

Some persons ignorantly suppose that motor vehicle engines running out of doors are harmless, on the pretext that the winds and air disperse the poisonous fumes and gases.

While it is evidently true that appreciable winds can blow the contamination away to some extent, it is also true that some times the fumes remain hovering over a roadway or at least near an activity dispensing such poisons.  Clearly, in those situations where large numbers of automobiles, trucks and buses are involved, the poisons do not readily disperse, as some people may wish.

This writer has traveled along some streets and highways in large cities where the fumes are so great and intense that they even burn and irritate unprotected human eyes, noses and other senses.  It is now an established fact that people living near automobile expressways have a higher mortality rate than those living elsewhere.

Once this writer mentioned this tragic and pathetic problem to a supposed Sacred Name "Elder" (an SP type in psychological temperament).  He responded that he couldn't see any difference between poisonous fumes from automobile engines and factories vis-à-vis smoke from burning wood for heat.

But there is a difference!  There seems to be a Scriptural basis for burning natural wood for cooking and heating.  Contrariwise, where is the Scriptural authority for burning gasoline, diesel and other refined petroleum products--if they kill and damage people and the environment as they do?

Oxygen

Of course, these pollutants are depleting and destroying vast quantities of ozone and oxygen in the atmosphere, which humans need to survive.  Beyond taking good oxygen from the atmosphere and replacing it with poisonous air and fumes, there is also the greater problem of man rapidly destroying the primary sources of new oxygen.

Modern man is destroying the great rain forests by clear cutting and the great ocean plankton beds in droves by environmental pollution (as outlined formerly herein).  What will happen when these primary agencies producing new oxygen are, all of a sudden, gone and no more?

The value of oxygen is established.  Because, even in hospitals, many sick people are placed in oxygen tents to increase the supply of this required air and extend life.  Oxygen cleans the human system and sustains life.  With its presence rapidly declining over earth, health problems have been surfacing in numbers (increases in illnesses and degenerative diseases, as was noted in prior chapters herein on health).

Decreasing Life Spans

On this theme, it is furthermore worthwhile to observe that in Tokyo, the fumes from the heavy traffic are so bad that pedestrians have to occasionally stop and pay a coin into a machine in order to buy a temporary dose of pure oxygen--needed to live, survive and keep going in that hostile environment.

A study of the Scriptures suggest that as “civilized” Adam spread over the globe and began destroying the sources of clean oxygen (trees, water ways and ocean plants, emitting oxygen) and began pumping pollutants into the air instead, Adamic life spans began decreasing correspondingly.

This oxygen message from the Book has been confirmed by a number of man-made studies over the years on the body’s need of oxygen (Apr 30, 2001, “Spotlight,” p. B-11).  It is not even in dispute among people who know!

Now, some will argue that in modern times, man’s life spans are increasing from where they were years ago.  The truth of the matter is that the early Adamites (pre-flood and even to the time of the judges--because Moshe lived to be 120 years old and Yehoshua reached 110) generally had long life spans which gradually decreased down to the 70 years average set for Adamites (Ps 90:10).  David died at age 70.

But with the advent of Christian sun worship power (under Constantine, 312-325 CE), the Western civilization was to enter the dark ages where environmental pollution increased, along with a growing ignorance about sanitation (although the Scriptures have a number of laws on sanitation, but Christendom abolished those laws and refused to live by them).

Thus, by the time of Jamestown in 1607, the life expectancy of Adamites had declined, though some persons did live long past their allocated 70 years. Because of the increasing environmental pollution and the sad neglect of sanitation, many died young and particularly so from various diseases (which directly linked to sanitation).

True, in the 20th century, men have woke up and started to understand the nature of bacteria, germs and sanitation.  This has increased life expectancy somewhat, short term.

Delayed Deaths

But often, in modern times, older people, though living longer, are not healthy.  Many are sick from diseases caused by the effects of environmental pollution, under discussion.  Cancer is not always a fast killer.  People with cancer can sometimes live many years as sick invalids before finally dying.

Yes, breathing poisonous air from tobacco smoke, asbestos fibers or whatever, as noted previously, can cause cancer and any number of diseases.  Sometimes, such air kills quickly (as breathing carbon monoxide from running automobiles) and sometimes death is delayed many, many years, as is true with asbestos poisons.

But ultimately, death is assured from the poison--unless, of course, the poisoned person dies first from some other cause, as so often happens.  It is this reality of an earlier death which misleads and confuses many persons from understanding the nature of poisonous pollutants.

A person breathing asbestos fibers will almost assuredly come down with lung cancer 40 years later.  But over those 40 years of wait, the poisoned individual may die of something else--like a car accident or a heart attack.

When the statistics are eventually compiled on deaths (de facto, long after the deaths have occurred or started to occur), they only address the cause of the death at the moment it occurred and not whether the death would have happened later from environmental pollution.

More on Acid Rain

As noted above, one can also see the effects of poisonous air whenever consideration is focused on acid rain (which kills rivers, streams, fish, forests, trees, etc).  What many persons fail to realize is that acid rain is a by product of polluted air.  Nature has a natural cleansing process in the form of rain.

As the air pollutants build up, nature tries to clean and clear the air of the poisons.  When the air pollutants are bad, the rain turns bad in the form of acid rain.  Obviously, it comes to earth in a bad condition to damage, destroy, injure and hurt much of the creation it comes into contact with.

If acid rain kills vegetation, animals, fish and insects, as it does, rest assured that it can kill humans--just as much as carbon monoxide does from running automobiles or the breathing of asbestos fibers (maybe not at once, but assuredly, in later years as delayed deaths, as discussed above).

Further Problems

Beyond the detrimental effects of using gasoline combustion engines to cause air pollution, discussed above, humans use various kinds of other poisons for various purposes--such as air conditioning, refrigeration, spray cans, etc which create massive air pollution.

In the last several years, science has discovered that many of these things release chlorofluorcarbons (CFCs) which are slowly destroying the ozone layer (which YHWH made to protect man from the sun).

A former chapter on health noted that thinking people have expressed some concern over aircraft and especially supersonic aircraft in the context of air pollution.

As suggested, it should not take too many brains to look at a supersonic airplane and its trail of visible vapors and fumes (in the form of smoke, haze, chemicals or whatever) and figure out that there could be some associated environmental and/or health problems.

Many scientists testify that this trail of fumes and pollutants are actually chlorofluorcarbons (CFCs) which are quite busy destroying the earth’s ozone layer, as mentioned earlier.  When one adds in the chem-trail equation (discussed in a previous chapter on health), there has to be certain dangers going on in the sky with modern aircraft.

Apparently, the fumes and chemicals from all the aircraft are combining with more air dispersed chemicals on the ground to destroy the wonderful ozone layer created by The ELOHIM to protect, serve and benefit man.  Now, man is facing a skin cancer explosion--plus many other problems relating to survival.

The interesting thing about air pollution is that it can spread out over vast areas of the planet to not only pollute the air of nearby people, but also the air of millions of other innocent persons, living thousands of miles away.

An AP report on Dec 7, 1998, noted that scientists have how established that smog, industrial pollution and dust from Asia can travel across the Pacific to degrade the air quality in the US, just as US pollution can affect Europe and other parts of the world.

Natural Pollution as Opposed to Man-made

There is another fascinating aspect of air pollution not readily apparent to the minds of warped limited men, whose greed blinds their perception of reality.

While there are a host of different pollutants to address (volcanoes, gas emissions from humans, animals, factories and on and on which can cause alterations in the atmosphere--depending upon quantities and persistence), it seems true that all air pollutants do not react the same way upon the environment.

There seems to be a difference between man-made pollutants, as opposed to those coming from nature.  In other words, volcanic gasses are not necessarily the same as automobile emissions or the belching of cattle.  There can be differences--which at present are totally unknown to modern science.

The Loss of Needed Oxygen

As was true with water pollution, man is largely ignorant of what will happen, as polluting gases enter the atmosphere and as ozone and oxygen are destroyed.  For sure, the loss of ozone and oxygen will affect the health and life spans of so-called human beings, as discussed above.

Again, the evidence seems most persuasive that the pre-flood population had long lives from the abundance of clean oxygen.  In the post-flood earth, oxygen began decreasing (from man’s polluting actions) and life spans have gone down accordingly.

Saipan, Revisited

As commented upon in prior comments, this writer lived and worked on Saipan Island for several years.  Because the work was sedimentary, there was a need to get a little exercise daily.  Many persons try to walk or jog along highways and roadways where there is much automobile traffic.

However, as discussed above, this proves to be very unsatisfactory since the auto emissions and pollutants are so severe and damaging and especially as they are deeply breathed in by people on the ground.  As an alternative, this writer and several other individuals got into the habit of walking or jogging up Mount Tapotchau, which towers over Saipan Island, about 1,545 feet above sea level.

This was great for awhile since the public trail or road was largely unused by vehicle traffic.  It meant that a person could get some valuable exercise with deep breathing of crucial oxygen, without being plagued with vehicle poisons and pollutants.

But then some developers saw the possibilities for huge profits on the sides of the mountain which offered a fantastic view of the great Pacific Ocean.  They came in and leased a part of one side of the road going up and built a number of large condominiums.

Since there was no available electricity, they had to install their own system.  For power, they brought in several large diesel generators.  Naturally, they placed these generators right next to the road where they would be accessible to refuel.

More on the Fall-Out

Though the generators were on their property, the tragedy is that when they were running, they spewed out air pollution down the road and mountain side (in the direction that the smoke stacks were emplaced).

If they had only polluted their own property, it would have been of no concern to outsiders uninvolved in the project.  But as always holds true, air pollution travels away from the site where it is released.  Therefore, the value of this old (public) road, as a place for exercise, was destroyed in one swift motion.

And of course, these diesel engines and the motor vehicle traffic are all far more "important" to modern society than are the people living down wind and the several joggers and walkers who tried to use the road for exercise and just plain, traversing movements.

After all, the developer probably stood to make millions of dollars on the project with the large generators present.  Question, which alternative do you think is the most important and pressing in today's modern world--millions of dollars for the developer or clean air and health for people using the road and living downwind from his project?

Also, there is the issue of the later buyers and users of the buildings and generators.  Many people of our time just must have electricity and power for their own personal pleasures and comforts and regardless of whether the public must breath poisoned air or not.

Human Wisdom?

On both of these counts, you can be sure of what man will judge to be good and right.  Naturally, poisoned air and healthful living are not big issues when it comes to making money and/or enjoying the supposed "comforts" of our time.

Later, whenever this writer walked or ran on the just mentioned road, i generally had to smell and breath the pungent diesel fumes from one to two blocks away and while going by the buildings.  And what do you suppose these fumes and poisons were doing to my health?

While those fumes did not kill me immediately, they did for sure shorten my overall life span--just as much and just as certain as breathing cigarette smoke, as commented upon in a prior chapter.

And if someone was to try to object, who would he object to?  Profits, money, greed, get and acquire are all far more important issues than the health of the few people who either used the road or lived downwind from the generators.  Local fat cats saw opportunities to reap a fat profit on an investment in the property.  Of course, they did so with the full support of the government and Christian Church leaders.

As outlined above, this is one of the horrible aspects of air pollution.  Literally, smog and air pollutants can travel all the way around the globe to pollute, poison and murder persons around the globe (eventually--as people continue to breath the stuff).  In other words, innocent people in rural areas, with no industry and few cars (like say West Virginia), have to breath industrial pollutants from Ohio.

Chapter 270--Stupid Science and Technology

HAARP, Revisited

The previously cited HAARP project (meaning the High Frequency, Active, Aurora, Research Program) in Alaska appears to be a modern effort which is having and will have a profound effect upon the environment.  The American public is just now beginning to learn about this undertaking.

It apparently involves the production of intense electromagnetic radiation and extremely low frequency (ELF) radio waves which can be blasted into the earth’s ionosphere for certain supposed purposes.  The use of one hour of HAARP’s giant generator produces the energy equivalent of one Hiroshima type atomic bomb.

Probably, the basis for some of this thinking arose about a hundred years ago in the work of the famous inventor Nikola Tesla (whose efforts will be elaborated upon in chapters hereafter).  Tesla theorized that weather could be controlled by using coordinated radio impulses to manipulate part of the earth’s magnetic field to change the giant wind patterns, like the jet stream (Jan 2000 “End Time News,” p. 3).

However, the primary system seems to have been developed a few years ago from a electromagnetic weather-engineering system designed by physicist Dr Bernard J. Eastlund.  The plan is to change weather by redirecting the very high wind patterns (like the jet stream).  Not only can weather be altered and messed up--but also, global communications as well (plus other things, to be later assessed).

From this basic Eastlund research and theory (which clearly seems to have a foundation in the work of the just mentioned Nikola Tesla), the present HAARP project started in the early 1990s (Jan 2000 “End Time News,” p. 3).

While HAARP allegedly is a defense department and/or weather modification scheme, questions have been raised about other possible goals for the project--like electronic or weather warfare against an enemy (i.e., in the anti-missile program or perhaps even upon the American people in some way and for some purpose).

The best guess is that Amalekite plutocrats have set this project up in order to control weather in different areas of the globe with a goal of influencing commodity prices and futures (like wheat, cotton, coffee, etc), in the context of controlling weather and agricultural production.  By controlling weather in the hay and grain growing areas, one might even influence the price of cattle and other animals for slaughter for food.

Hence, it would be easy to put two and two together with weather modification projects and understand how Amalekite bankers/masters (anxious to get a further hook into people like the Clintons and other frauds) would control weather to control cattle futures (thus, allowing Hillary Clinton to make $100,000 on those futures with a Amalekite tip and guidance on investing; and of course, Amalekite control of the market).

Weather Modification and Water

Beyond the obvious, in terms of using weather modification schemes to alter climate and weather patterns for the benefit of making money in the commodity markets, there is still another insidious process underway--which could relate in some manner to the production and use of HAARP.

This alternative surfaced in the May-Jun 2001 “Intelligence Newsletter” (p. 4-5), in a review of an article by Peter Phillips on “Our New Resource Crisis” from the “Free American Newsmagazine,” and some conclusions about the subject by the newsletter editor Earl F. Jones, previously quoted herein.  Phillips is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Sonoma State University.

Phillips mentioned that the World Bank had recently adopted a policy of water privatization and full-cost water pricing.  Going on, Phillips noted:  “Last year (2000) in a little known case of high scale international water marketing, a supertanker was reported to have filled up with (fresh) water from Lake Erie and after paying the Canadian Government they shipped the water to Southeast Asia.

“Maude Barlow, Chair of the Council of Canadians, Canada’s largest public advocacy group, states, ‘Governments around the world must act now to declare water a fundamental human right and prevent efforts to privatize, export and sell for profit a substance essential to all life.  Research has shown that selling water on the open market only delivers it to wealthy cities and individuals.  The finite sources of fresh water (less than one half of one percent of the world’s total water stock) are being diverted, depleted, and polluted so fast that, by the year 2025, two-thirds of the world population will be living in a state of serious water deprivation.’

“Governments are signing away their control over domestic water supplies by participating in trade treaties such as the North American Free Trade Association (NAFTA) and in institutions such as the World Trade Organization (WTO).  These agreements give transnational corporations the unprecedented right to the water of signatory companies.

“Monsanto plans to earn revenues of $420 million and a net income of $63 million by 2008 from its water business in India and Mexico.  Monsanto estimates that water will become a multibillion-dollar market in the coming decades.”

More From Jones

As Earl Jones pointed out--the privatization of water is a global project organized by the UN, NAFTA, the World Bank and many multinational corporations (like Bechtel, Monsanto and Enron).  Per the remarks of Phillips, the effort involves a privatization of the ownership and the delivery systems and the selling of water to the entire world.

As Jones asked-- “Should we shrug off this program as being totally unworkable, a pipe-dream perhaps?  Or is it possible that our children, and their children, will live in such a nightmare?”

To the above, the writer of this study at hand would just add that truly fresh water supplies are being grossly polluted all over the world.  For many years now, this writer has been buying purified or distilled water to drink; instead of using public water sources (as the public water supplies are so badly poisoned and polluted).

Now, under HAARP, is it possible that the big boys calling the shots are using HAARP to alter weather and create droughts in order to sell water?

On this theme, there is an interesting Jewish legend which is most important.  “The Book of Legends” (p. 107, item 10) notes that upon entering Canaan land, Yehoshua decreed ten stipulations for Yisrael.  One was that a spring of water, though private and whenever it emerged, could be used by the public of the town.

More on HAARP

Otherwise, it might be that HAARP’s use of electromagnetic energy to blast the heavens (with billions of watts of energy) has any number of insidious purposes--like mind control, murder and who knows what else.  The mind control or alteration scheme has some support from a lay scientist named Walt Myers (in his Prophecy Club Video on “Technology and the Mark of the Beast”).

Myers suggests that HAARP is or will be broadcasting electromagnetic waves not only into the heavens, but also on extremely low frequencies (ELF) to the earth’s population in a mind control or behavior alteration project (this option will be addressed in a later chapter).

Walt goes on to say that in addition to the one in Alaska, some 35 more (making a total of 36) of them are in the process of being built and established around the world (with one also in Puerto Rico).  The goal is to be able to reach all of the people in the world with the work.  As a minimum, the Alaskan HAARP effort seems to be already disrupting the earth’s magnetic fields in some way.

Instruments used to monitor the earth’s magnetic field suggest that the earth did on one occasion produce a strange shift which caused magnetic instruments to develop an uncontrollable swing from right to left by several degrees (per Walt Myers).  For sure, migratory birds and geese and whales and fish at sea seem to be developing problems in pursuing their habitual paths (as noted earlier).  Something is now wrong.

The important thing about this stupid HAARP effort worldwide is that the American taxpayers are financing it; and yet, the taxpayers have never been told “why” for the project.  Perhaps no one knows why for sure!

But as America’s weather continues to turn upside down and as a terrible national drought gets into place, maybe a few thinking Americans may at last put two and two together and begin to understand that the problems link back to HAARP and other stupid weather modification schemes.

A Mini Big Bang, Revisited

The incredible stupidity of the HAARP program brings up a need to mention another ridiculous program of modern science which will possibly have enormous ramifications for man when it is eventually carried out.

Scientists at America’s Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island, New York have a program underway to determine if they can produce a replica of the alleged “big bang,” which supposedly created the universe billions of years ago.  The Brookhaven people are calling their experiment a “Mini Big Bang,” in the sense that it will be a smaller duplicate of the original Big Bang believed in by science.

Anyway, Brookhaven has constructed an enormous, underground facility which will evidently allow matter or energy to swirl about in fantastic speeds and collide head on.  Apparently, they hope to have a collision of mass or energy in an experiment which they are now calling a “Mini Big Bang.”

While all of this may sound intelligent, reasonable, scientific, progress and so forth, some questions need to be answered in assessing the project.  For example, besides spending millions (or billions) of the taxpayers’ funds, what possible purpose could such an experiment provide or prove?  No one can even be sure that creation started with the so-called big bang.  And whether it did or not, so what?

Another important question must be one along the same line as the one with HAARP.  For instance, who knows what will happen if stupid scientists should cause a mini big bang on Long Island?  Ostensibly, at least according to science, the universe started with a big bang eons ago.  If this was duplicated in New York, what will happen and even in the context of something smaller?

Assuredly, men are tampering with powers and forces they simply do not understand.  They don’t know what they are doing and they really have no legitimate, beneficial reason for doing it.  They just carry these projects out to be on the payroll and receive money; and of course, public acclamation for their great knowledge and intelligence (supposedly).

It seems that they never stop and ask themselves what might happen when they undertake stupid experiments and projects which somehow might alter or interfere in the “created” natural order of the earth and its inhabitants.  What will happen?  Will their experiment cause Long Island to blow up or perhaps even earth to blow up?

Other Stupid Efforts

Walt Myers’ very excellent presentation on “Technology and the Mark of the Beast,” discussed above, also mentions a couple of other incredibly ridiculous projects by supposed scientists in the name of science.

For years, man has had an enormous effort at trying to bore a hole into the center of the earth.  Theoretically, the earth’s center or core is a plasma of molten metals or magma that is held there by the earth’s crust or mantle (which is several miles thick).

Scientists would like to know what would happen if a shaft reaches this core.  Will it explode or will it cause a gigantic eruption of outflowing molten rock and metal or will the core totally implode or exactly what will happen when the crust is broken through?

In another ridiculous effort, which has been put on the back burner for now, scientists have been concerned about the ice buildup at the poles.  One supposedly brilliant scientist came up with a solution.  Set off a nuclear bomb at the axis of the North Pole to ostensible melt some of the ice.  Perhaps better minds backed this crazy maneuver off when someone wondered if it would disrupt earth’s rotation or magnetic field.

An Incident at Hartsville, Tennessee

On July 6, 2001, a strange phenomenon struck Hartsville, TN on a clear morning day when a bright light was seen and a strange sound was heard to produce a total power and phone failure, covering over one mile in diameter around Hartsville (discussed by Ted Randle, general manager of WJKM radio of Hartsville on the Art Bell Coast to Coast program on July 17, 2001).

The radio station’s transmitter was knocked out and other pieces of electronic equipment failed.  A huge quantity of birds were killed in the area--many of them while flying in the air.  The dead birds appeared to be fried.  Some of those flying were knocked out of the sky and had their wings almost fried off.

Randle said something similar struck Franklin, TN the next day.  Bell added that the same phenomenon struck his area West of Las Vegas earlier.

The Aug 20, 2001, “American Free Press” (p. 3) had a follow-up story on the Hartsville crisis.  Local residents there were suspicious that the pulse had something to do with a nearby TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) nuclear power plant building project which was supposedly halted in 1982-83.

Nevertheless, work of some sort goes on at the site and military aircraft (helicopters, C-130s, peculiar-appearing triangle shaped craft, etc) seem to regularly visit the site with some frequency, both day and night.

The Hartsville event sounded like a strange power surge or an EMP pulse (the electro-magnetic energy pulse will be discussed in later chapters).  In the vein of the HAARP project (which will involve several facilities and produce massive amounts of electro-magnetic energy, as just noted above), one would wonder if it is possible that these surges in the US are somehow related to the HAARP effort.

Polluting the Heavens

As outlined in former chapters, the one thing which can be said for man and man’s efforts on earth is that he has completely polluted, defiled and hurt the earth beyond comprehension.  Probably, man’s evil efforts have not yet reached the point of no return; but surely, that time has to be approaching and very near (that’s why we all should pray that YHWH’s kingdom will come).

Not content with dirtying and destroying the earth, man has chosen to look into the heavens to try to pollute, defile and damage them as much as the earth.  Already, man is trying his best to turn at least the solar system into a garbage dump of man-made satellites, power systems and so forth, which are being carelessly scattered around the heavens.

A news report on National Public Radio on Feb 7, 2003, discussed the investigation underway by NASA to try to determine what broke up the Columbia space ship on Feb 1, 2003 (when it broke up over Texas upon re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere).

One of the possible causes was damage that the ship may have experienced in flight (damage which could have been caused by the “millions” of man-made space debris now in orbit).  Yes, there are now “millions” of pieces of man-made space craft and other items now in orbit around the earth, the sun and who knows where else.  Some of the things are quite small (the size of a grain of sand) and some are quite large.

The Feb 14, 2003, “The Week” (p. 18) had a short news item on “Space sheepdog herds junk” which reported upon this accumulation of man-made space junk (or garbage) now in orbit around earth, and the efforts of astronauts to track the larger pieces.

This report placed the total quantity at 2,000 tons.  It involves leftovers from various space missions--spent rocket launchers, dead satellites, and fragments of spacecraft shattered by collisions.

Real “Human” Intelligence?

In the 1950s, scientists with the US Air Force actually discussed and made plans for detonating an atomic bomb on the moon.  Theorists believed that such a blast on the moon would serve two purposes (discussed on the Coast to Coast AM talk show by Mike Siegal on May 18, 2000).

First, it would demonstrate the power of the US and the atom to all potential adversaries--like the Soviet Union.  And second, it could be scientifically studied and analyzed for effects in space.  The plan was finally shelved because of its many adverse features and particularly when fear arose that some radioactive fallout in space might spread to earth.

While this insanity was discussed and planned at the highest levels of the US government, it never reached fruition for various reasons.

More Polluting of the Heavens

To further demonstrate this current motion into the heavens, two very recent events can be cited.  For example, there have been a couple of shots to Mars that went astray, as will be described in some detail in a subsequent chapter (who knows where they went, but probably they crashed into Mars where they left a pile of pollution).

The second case concerns the spaceship Galileo which was supposed to crash into Jupiter or its primary moon in the early part of the year 2000.  All of this sounds well and good.  But there are some facts about this exercise which are largely unknown by man.

For example, press reports in February 2000 expressed concern if the Galileo spacecraft was to crash into the moon of Jupiter, it would probably contaminate that moon with bacteria and microorganisms from earth.  In other words, it isn’t only that man will pollute that globe with his man-made, crashed junk; but moreover, man might introduce some limited forms of life.

If so, what would the impact be?  For sure, no one knows and probably no one much cares.  But there is still more to come on this dilemma of what could happen to Galileo when it crashed.

Jupiter is a large, gaseous planet, made up essentially of hydrogen, helium and perhaps some small parts of other gases.  Supposedly, it is made up of the same stuff that the sun is composed of.  In that sense, if Jupiter could be ignited, it could theoretically turn into a small star with the commencement of a series of nuclear reactions.

The better option on Galileo crashing is that it would actually crash into the planet Jupiter itself rather than the moon.  It is this possibility which was addressed by Lew White in an article on the “Jupiter Star,” appearing in the Oct-Dec 1999 “Petah Tikvah” magazine (p. 61).  White quoted a scientist named Milton William Cooper.

What Could Have Happened

Cooper noted that the Galileo craft was powered by some 49.7 pounds of weapons grade plutonium in a small nuclear reactor.  In the context of the crash of Galileo, Cooper or rather White asked if the pressures encountered in the crash might serve as an imploding detonator for the plutonium?

As the crashed Galileo entered the more dense interior of Jupiter, and if that was the situation which could implode the plutonium, was it possible that the plutonium would produce a nuclear blast which could, in turn, serve as a detonator to commence a chain reaction of the compressed hydrogen in the planet?

In other words, was it possible that man could be sending a device (in the form of the Galileo spacecraft and its nuclear power system) into the dense inner regions of Jupiter which would implode and produce a nuclear blast which would set off a chain reaction and turn Jupiter into a live, small star?

As Cooper/White reported, such a possibility would prove to be catastrophic on earth--assuring the complete melting of the polar ice caps and enormous flooding worldwide.  Literally, survivalists would have to flee to the high ground of mountains.  As it turned out, these things did not happen.  But they could have happened.

The issues raised above, in the context of the crash of Galileo, demonstrate the incredibly ridiculous stupidity of the whole space program.  It has to be utter insanity to be shooting these very expensive, man-made piles of junk and maybe bacteria all over the solar system.  The little knowledge that man gains from these efforts is knowledge that we could just as well do without.

Surely, stupid efforts like the ones just noted must be a repeat of what happened with Nimrod and his colleagues at the plain of Shinar, just after the flood.  It clearly appears that man is right now pursuing the same stupid path, followed by those foolish people long ago.  Truly, there is nothing new under the sun, as Shlomo wrote (Eccl 1:9-10).

The nova of our sun will be discussed in a later chapter.  Per YHWH’s Word, He will supply a new system of light for the earth.  For that eventuality, is it possible that the planet Jupiter will be ignited in some manner in the age end to provide light at least for a while on earth?

Surely, the context of Revelation 22:5 is such to suggest that The EL will be the light in the millennium.  But perhaps, even as a preliminary step, the planet Jupiter might ignite to provide interim light and heat from the nova of the sun until the start of the millennium?  It is something to think about!

Profiting From Space

Now, the latest fad in thinking is the commercialization of space.  Any number of entrepreneurs are looking at the vast universe as a means of making profits (money).  A billionaire named Bigelow in Southern Nevada announced in 1999 his plans to commence an effort to use space vehicles to transport people on a space joy ride.

The plan is that rich people would be willing to lay out some big bucks to be able to take a space trip to the moon and back.  Actually, many would be excited just to make an orbit of earth.  John Glenn sold out his own conscious and integrity in Senate hearings to support Bill Clinton’s corruption--manifestly, in order to be allowed to take a shuttle ride (at his age 75 or so).

In a more recent idea, the May 31, 2002, “The Week” (p. 14) had a news report from former astronaut Buzz Aldrin that he believes the colonization of Mars is inevitable.  Accordingly, Aldrin is designing an interplanetary bus that could be used to shuttle people back and forth between Earth and Mars.  The first shuttle bus could be operational by the year 2018.

Smaller taxi vehicles would be used to carry people from the shuttle to points on Earth or on Mars.

More Thinking

Two men (one perhaps named Benson or something similar) were on the Art Bell Coast to Coast AM radio talk show on February 21, 2000, to discuss their plans to commence turning space into profits (actually to fulfill man’s greed, get and acquire).

Not only do they have plans of sending people to the moon and/or Mars and back, but they are thinking about having space stations in earth orbit which will serve as space hotels.  Presumably, rich people can buy a ticket to one of these hotels and go there for a short vacation and then return back home.

In the interim, these men spoke of being able to immediately offer space shots to take memorabilia and things into space to deposit them on the moon, Mars or somewhere else with the name of an earthling (this could be called a vanity shot).  In other words, pay a fee and these men will take a trinket with your name on it and deposit it in space somewhere.  Truly, this is a crazy manifestation of pride and vanity.

Some Examples

Actually, many of these ideas are already coming into being.  “Newsweek” (p. 40) of Apr 30, 2001, had a story on multi-millionaire Dennis Tito of Los Angeles, who paid the Russians $20 million for an eight day space trip on a Russian Soynz rocket and a rendezvous with the International Space Station.  Tito carried some baggage with many souvenirs and trinkets, which may make him a profit after his return to earth.

Incidentally, as a side point here, the sexual pervert Michael Jackson has indicated his desire to pay the Russians $20 million to be able to travel on their Soynz rocket for a rendezvous with the International Space Station (May 24, 2002, “The Week,” p. 10).

In order to help his chances, the semi-black Jackson has engaged the psychic Uri Geller to do something that might help Jackson’s chances.  It is unclear whether Geller is putting a so-called hex on the Russians or what.

One more immediate possibility for profit and gain in space is to send a satellite in orbit around the moon or some other planet with a camera to take live pictures and send them back to earth.  If an earthling has a particular interest in some specific sites on the moon or on one of the planets, the camera can take pictures of it and return them to the interested party for a fee.

There is also the likelihood of space billboards (like those on transit buses) which advertise various products on earth.  Apparently, the plan here would be to use cameras to take pictures of the space advertising and work it into camera feedback, coming to earth (as outlined above on live camera shots from space).

Taxing Space

Along with the commercialization of space, it would be logical and natural that the money hungry tax collectors would also focus their attention on space to see what revenues they can raise.

And sure enough, this is happening right now.  “The Week” of Jul 20, 2001 (p. 4), said that Los Angeles County Assessor Rick Auerbach has proposed taxing eight earth satellites now in orbit 22,000 miles up--which were launched and owned by LA based Hughes Electronics.

Clearly, there seems to be all kinds of things which can be done in space to make money.  Already, there are people looking at this insanity and speculating on what profits they can make.  But will YHWH sit back and allow men to exploit space, as they have exploited earth for profit and gain?

Buying Space Land?

The above quoted May 31, 2002, “The Week” (p. 10) also had another fascinating report on the intelligence of modern man.  This story said that the Lunar Embassy, a California Company, is selling lunar land at $27 an acre and the company is making a “fortune.”
